These should be bought. Stop weighing all of your choices. I used to keep an eye out for tampering and provide proof of it. Put any item in a bag, seal it, and store it or ship it. Seals and edges have a lot of strength. It's simple to write on this surface. The thickness/mil of the bag is appropriate and tear-resistant.
The interior black isn't thick or opaque enough to completely block out light. When I hold it up to a window or a desk lamp, I can see right through it. Perhaps this is the norm - I don't have any other brands with which to compare it. Letter-size paper fits in the 10" x 13" size. 8" x 11" 5 in. x 11 in. without having to fold it. The interior width is only 9", because the width is less than 10" and you lose some space due to seams. If you're wondering why the band at the top of the picture is different colors, here's what you need to know: You peel off a red strip of plastic to expose the adhesive; once you've removed it and sealed the bag, all that's left is the blue stripe.
These are a little bigger than what we usually use, but they get the job done. We ran out, and Amazon was able to replace them faster than the bank. Thank you.

This is a fantastic idea. The only way to tamper with an envelope without leaving visible marks is to replace it with another envelope entirely, so make sure you know (photo?). (serial number).
