I couldn't set a combination for this lock at first, and moving the small reset lever around didn't save my custom combination, as others have mentioned. I finally figured out that I needed to push in the little silver bar just beneath the reset lever after moving it down and to the left as instructed in the manual. Please see the image attached. Following that, my custom combo worked. Is it possible that that piece became stuck? The key box appears to be in good condition, aside from that potentially fatal flaw. I hope this information is useful to someone!.
This was required for gate keys and other maintenance and utility purposes. Perfect. It works perfectly.

This box does its job well. The only criticism is that if you mount it on the wall, closing the box can be difficult because the key must be placed precisely.

In the middle of the night, I was locked out of my new home. This has saved my life on numerous occasions. I can tell those who know the code how to open my door, but it's still locked and out of reach for others! I like that this has a lock feature because it makes me feel safer knowing that no one can find the key and enter my house at any time.
The only drawback is that the numbers are difficult to read.
