The keys work fine; the knob you twist does not operate as smoothly as one would expect from a professional safe, but it's not bad for the money. What you pay for is exactly what you get.

If you're a small retailer in need of a safe deposit box for employees to deposit a few thousand dollars each day, this is the perfect solution. Because it comes with lag bolts for cement installation, you'll need to use different nuts and bolts if you're mounting to a different surface. It was incredibly simple to program, and the best feature for us was that you could choose to only use the provided keys and disable the digital lock entirely. I would purchase this item again.
It's been mine since February, and it wouldn't open with the key until last week. The keypad was never functional for me. I was given a phone number by Amazon, but I never received a call. My husband ended up drilling it open (which was simple because the dial is plastic), and I threw it away once I had gotten the information I needed out of it. I suppose what you pay for is what you get.
With digital access, I only worked for about six months. The mechanism that rotates to unlock the safe has a lot of play in it. It's possible that this, along with a battery compartment that doesn't hold batteries securely in place, is the issue. Now that I have a key, I can only use it.
I keep resetting the code, but it doesn't seem to remember! Unfortunately, I missed the return deadline because I didn't realize I had a problem with it until recently (4 days after the deadline), and I didn't need to open it! I'm glad I have a key, but it's such a hassle!.
You can tell it's a lower-quality safe, but that's to be expected at this price; a good hammer or crowbar should get you in. It does what I needed it to do for the price (provide a semi-secure location to temporarily insert paper money).
It's the ideal safe for our needs, and the drop slot makes it simple to use! Quite hefty. If you drop it to try to open the safe, as we did with the last one, you'll most likely break the floor rather than the safe.
It gets the job done, but there are some drawbacks. Hardware for mounting is a complete waste of time. The quality of the product is extremely low. Things made in China are known for their quality. When it arrived, the keypad was dangling from the wall. The key lock is both inexpensive and inconvenient.
With plenty of space, it's well worth it!.
