For $150-$200, you can get a smaller Barka or something similar. 200 The price is actually quite amusing. You can probably get a custom one built for less money with thicker material and custom strap bolt points from a metal shop. Besides, I'd put the receiving door on the back of the house rather than the front. Which, in my opinion, renders this useless.
The following information is found on the manufacturer's page: Dimensions of the maximum package size: 9" W x 9. H x D : 25" x 12"
Both doors have the same key. To open them, all you need is a single key.
Ours came from a 2007 purchase. Ours came with the flag, which we bolted to a concrete surface rather than boxing in.

Good mailbox, but it began to rust after two years for no apparent reason (not exposed to salt, etc. ) other than poor materials and workmanship. Despite their best efforts to give the impression that it is of the highest quality, rust is an exclusion (among many others) in their 5-year warranty, and they have been completely unresponsive when contacted about the problem. They simply state that rust is unavoidable. What good are stainless steel hinges if the rest of the mailbox is going to rust? For this price, the entire unit should be stainless steel. Buyer beware! Take a look at my photos. dVault should be aware of this. br> If you're reading this, I'd like to say thank you for taking the time to read it. You'd make more money if you stood behind your products and started with higher-quality materials. I hope you lose a lot more money as a result of people refusing to buy this item than it would have cost you to just stick to your guns and do the right thing!.
I didn't like it when my mail was stolen, and this extremely expensive box did nothing to prevent it. br>br>The basic flaw in the design is that the secure mail slot is large enough for an adult arm and forearm to easily fit into and simply remove the mail. It's about as safe as if my mailman delivered it to my front door on a platter. br>br>The most obvious design improvement would be to make the maildrop portion much deeper and the mail slot a little smaller than it is now. After all, I don't want packages stuffed into the mail slot, so it only needs to be big enough to hold standard paper mail.
Because we have a lot of rain here, I bought this product in August 2018 and put it next to my mailbox to receive packages. A package was pushed into the drop down and the hinge was broken, rendering the drop down door immovable and the vault useless. I contacted dVault for help, and they eventually sent me repair instructions. The instructions stated that I needed to remove rusted-in screws from the far end of the drop-down door, which was frozen in place. I'm fairly handy, but I couldn't get a wrench or any other tool around the small, rusted screws. So, if your delivery person is anything but cautious, I wouldn't count on this product.
The item was delivered on time and in good condition. We constructed a concrete pad that was 20 inches square. It would have been better to wait for the box and pre-install anchor bolts using a template. Anchors can be placed in cured concrete already in place. br>An 8 will not fit in the outgoing mail space. Without bending, a 5 inch wide flat mailer is used. Furthermore, there is no other option for sending a package than to place it on top. br>The incoming mail slot is generously sized, and larger items can be dropped off in the package drop. br>Because the incoming mail space is separate from the package drop space, mail may fill it if left for an extended period of time; however, the mail person may still place it in the package drop slot. br>Overall, we're pleased because our issue has been resolved.
Note: Price increased 50% shortly after I placed my order.
The dVault full-service vault is exactly what it says on the tin. Not just a mailbox, but a mailbox and parcel drop that is extremely sturdy and secure. The simple design complements our mid-century modern home perfectly. House built in the twentieth century. This isn't a mailbox/parcel drop for the faint of heart; it's pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. br>When FedEx Ground was having delivery issues, a dVault representative took charge and escalated the situation to their FedEx account rep for further assistance. This is a unit that I would strongly recommend.
It's even better than I had hoped for! The security of our mail is unquestionable.
I gave it four stars because it's a bit pricey, but the quality is unquestionably excellent. At our previous home, we had the same model, which we liked. We covered that one with stone and it remained rust-free for ten years; we intend to do the same with this one. It's very safe and simple to use. The package drop feature is convenient because it allows for the secure deposit of medium-sized parcels.
It arrived in such a state that the front would not open. So far, this has been a fantastic experience. It arrived in such poor condition that the front door would not open. I'm not sure what happened because the box appeared to be in good condition. I called them about it, and they were ready to ship another one out right away, but I couldn't be bothered with the downtime of receiving and signing for it, so I used some body hammers and screwdrivers to reshape it (it is, after all, buried under brick). It's been months since I've used it, and it's been fantastic. Packages from Amazon, for example. The dropbox is fantastic.
