Perhaps if someone had a lot of patience, a lot of free time, and a few accessories, this could be done. I imagine that if you inserted a think stick or a stout wire with gum or another sticky substance on it, you could make a thin, light envelope. This is, in my opinion, a very secure box that I have never had any problems using, and we deposit cash and checks in it almost every day. Without hesitation, I would purchase this item again.
Outdoor installation is not recommended for DuraBox dropboxes. Despite the fact that the dropboxes are powder-free, They'll rust and look unsightly if they're not coated. The warranty is voided if the product is used outside.
For added security, the description "harder to duplicate than standard keys" is correct. My locksmith had to create a custom tool to make the keys and copies work, but they weren't as smooth or as good as the originals. Getting them from the supplier is the way to go. The lock pins can be customized in terms of count, spacing, and depth.
Yes, it is possible. It's simple to fit 5 x 11 paper in there.

This is a heavy-duty drop box in the style of a mail box. I keep it in the hallway so tenants can deposit their rent checks. No Cash. I also like the metal "fingers" that help prevent fishing under the slot. I mounted it close to the ceiling (10") under the stairwell so no one could look in, but I understand that this is not an option for everyone. On one side, I inserted the heavy-duty bolts into a stud, while on the other, I inserted them into lathes. It is a safe way to pay rent.
This is a very sturdy and long-lasting product; I had a minor issue with the locking mechanism, which was quickly resolved by the company. Aside from that, it's extremely solid and safe. I've hung it near the ceiling so no one can look inside. I doubt they'd be able to get anything out of it anyway, given the "fingers" on the inside. I am very pleased with my purchase.
Good lock box, but check the slot dimensions if you have items that are particularly thick (such as filled envelopes), as the anti-theft mechanism may be compromised. The description "harder to duplicate than standard keys for added security" is correct; fishing plates keep the slot narrow for about an inch inside. My locksmith had to create a custom tool to make the keys and copies work, but they weren't as smooth or as good as the originals. Getting them from the supplier is the way to go. The lock pins can be customized in terms of count, spacing, and depth.
The only stumbling block (and it's a big one) was mounting the lockbox to the wall. When driving the bolts home, use a wrench instead of a screwdriver. If you use the screw head, you will almost certainly end up with a stripped head.
I like how I can just drop money in the top without having to open it up. I also appreciate the fact that it has baffles to prevent people from fishing things out. I purchased this safe after a so-called friend stole money from me during a get-together, and I was never able to determine who was responsible. This is bolted to a wall in my closet, high enough that no one can see into it. br>Made of thick, durable metal. You can hear the clunk of the door closing when it closes. This safe gives me complete peace of mind.
We put it on the outside and it looks great. The hardware that came with it had a lot of options, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Solid designbr>Easy to installbr>Use round head bolts when installing to avoid the item becoming tangled. If you use 3/8" hex bolts, the money won't drop in properly. This can be solved by applying gaffers tape or duct tape to the top bolts.
Rain and snow get inside. It's a great box, but the design allows WATER to get inside, which is a concern. Now we need to figure out how to keep the rain/snow out of the house.
