Questions & Answers

Can you put the rollers right into the sorter and do it automatically count the coins for each roll if you put them right into the sorter? That would seem to be the case. ?

As soon as the coins reach the top of the roller, the coin count is correct. When we received our Royal Sovereign Sorter, we made an effort to verify the coin count for each denomination after the first rolling, as we were rolling an extremely large number of coins at the time. In the process of rolling the coins myself, my wife weighed them, so I would merely check the weight to verify that the roller was placing each coin in the right place. Let me know if you have any questions.

Can I manually wrap them with this machine? I understand that it sorts, but does it require manual wrapping?

There is a yes and a no. I tried placing paper wraps in each of the plastic coin holders, but the coins flipped In order to turn the coin holders upside down, I slipped a paper wrap inside the coin holders, twisted the wrap until it reached the bottom of the holder, and then let the money sort into the plastic holders. In the end, I unwrapped the paper so that I could see the coins inside. Sounds complicated, but after a few attempts it worked

Is RS paper wrapper included in this package?

Wrappers were ordered at the same time as the machine. From what I have been able to see, ordering from Amazon is much easier. A simple process This is Wrap 504 for now. When you remove the tube from the wrapper, the bottom end is already crimped, so coins will not fall out when you remove it.

My quarters are sometimes 75 to one dollar short when I sort them into the wrappers, and ten dollars are too large for ?

Our research showed that you have to fill up the plastic frame you put the paper tube in right to the very top. In the paper tube holder, there is a plastic standoff of some kind, and we too thought it was a standoff until we tried stacking $10 of quarters in the frame and it came flush with the top. With all coin slots, it works that way.

I can count on Walter to do the job well
5/5

Walter was the name we gave him. The amount of coins Walter rolls for us each week is about $80. We have had Walter working for us since almost two years ago. Because Walter got angry because he was put inside a Susan B Anthony dollar several times, he has had to be disassembled. In an effort to force the jammed dollar to be removed, he went on strike. It is possible for Walter to choke on quarters and jam if you feed him too fast, however you will know Walter does this once you have experienced it once. When you insert odd-sized foreign coins into Walter, he does not seem to be friendly. It would be a shame not to buy Walter again he's a good guy. As long as Walter is treated with respect, he will work hard for you, but if he feels abused, he may act out. Walter's analog nature and the fact that he doesn't require any batteries are appealing to us. The coins are counted by Walter pretty precisely as well. A dime will occasionally go into Walter's dime roll, but it doesn't happen very Walter is the best person to have roll coins if you need them. The latest update for 10/18/19 is included below. Walter has been going for more than four years now. Walter is clearly the one we are referring to.

It's generally ok, but there are a few minor issues
4/5

Not that we're assuming other people whose models were damaged had otherwise flawed products, but I suspect at least some of the problems were caused by "operator error" rather than "defective products". There are quite a few impatient people I know who would likely take this thing out of the box, totally ignore the instructions and start cranking, and quite forcefully if or when something got stuck, to the point of breaking it. It shouldn't take too much effort to break it since it is plastic, and with enough applied force, it shouldn't be that difficult. I found that the thing worked perfectly for me, as you can see in the video. A nice way to put it Please note that. The sorting of my coins was relatively easy - no extra time required! Puts them in stacks that are easy to use - We can remove the plastic tubes the coins are stacked in to pour in the paper coin wrappers, but what it DOES NOT DO is clearly mark or count the amount of coins that are deposited into the In my experience, I didn't always have the exact number of coins in each tube, since the tube appeared full, but that is not an exact science. Pennies from older years tend to be thinner than those from newer years, so 50 older pennies will fill the plastic tube slightly differently than 50 brand-new pennies. Obviously, if I was working with small coin change in a business, I would invest in a product that would count and organize the coins (assuming I was going to turn this into a bank), but for just counting loose change, this thing works just fine. I gave it a five-star Here are some tips to help you decide whether to buy it. Hopefully the video will give you a better idea of how it works. The price was right for me, especially for the quality.

With out the wrappers, the numbers are more accurate
4/5

In my experience, coin wrappers should not be used in At first, I tried them out, but I wanted to see how accurate they really are. As a result, I dumped out each coin wrapper to manually count them. While using the wrappers, I found the coins were a little short. If you use no wrappers and let the coins fill to the point where they are now overflowing, the coins will be a bit longer. Once the wrapper is over the stack of coins, you can easily slide it over.

This is better than a CoinStar fee
5/5

The coin counting machines at Chase are no longer functional the sleeves are what they have now. You can ask for any amount you need, and they'll gladly add it to your account. As I was rolling and counting by hand, I had barely made a dent in a 4 pound coffee can after working for an hour and a half. I have begun to explore It took less than 30 dollars to buy this coin using CoinStar. The commission is 12%. Our total time spent involved about four hours, and we collected more than $600 in change. I might only use this machine every year or so, but I have already saved 40 bucks to avoid CoinStar fees.
So we're going to get down to business It appears that some reviewers reported difficulty getting the coins into the sorter due to a jammed hopper they have since revamped the hopper so the coins slide into the sorter more easily. There will be a If you fill the hopper to capacity, the price goes up. My experience suggests that adding a handful of coins at a time is better then adding a large number at a time as the coins weigh a lot when they are filled. It is also important to turn the handle slowly to avoid jamming. In addition, I checked the count right away on all coins, and they were all right on. Once the tray is full, the next coin drops Keep turning slowly when you stop putting the coins into the roll, add another hand full. A disadvantage of using a counter is that you can't see the coins to make sure they are on the correct date.

It is easy and convenient to join JAMS! Even when handling small amounts of money every once in a while, I wouldn't recommend this if you have more than a few hundred to sort
3/5

It jams VERY OFTEN even when moved In the directions, it says that when jamming occurs to turn the handle counterclockwise ONLY 180 degrees, and that if you turn it MORE than 180 degrees, it will permanently jam and damage the machine. Due to the number of jams, I was able to sort about $600 of coins despite the number of times it jammed. As I read this, I sit in front of an almost brand new sorter that will no longer accept change, yes the handle is permanently damaged. Another of these machines would not be a good purchase for me. Due to this design flaw, I am unable to recommend this machine as a reliable machine. The above method fails to consider another issue, that is, it is necessary to take out each roll throughout the process to manually sort through each coin and remove the coins that are always slipped into the wrong slots! Overall, I would give it a two out of five. PS Just before I took this garbage to the curb today, I decided to just go around and round the handle in a clockwise direction as fast as I could. After a minute, the jamming noise stopped, and the machine began taking coins again. For the manufacturer to include after the warning sign, this would be an excellent note to include. In the coming weeks, I will keep you updated on how things progress.
