I can't truthfully say for certain that it couldn't get in under the right circumstances, but I haven't ever seen water get into it. I think most applications can be used with it.
I'm sure a screwdriver would do the trick if you really wanted to get in. It is quite a sturdy product.

I like the way it is so far and how simple it is The problem is. I was only able to use it for a few days before it stopped functioning. No matter which four digit code it opens with, it will still open even if programmed with a specific The computer has been stuck shut and won't open. After I tried resetting it, I thought it had started working. It will be hard for me to unscrew it and get it off the wall without prying it open. I hate it!.
Maintenance is required for 170 VHRs in Tahoe and I became unencumbered by the expense of investing in Masterlock of this style just to have the option to break them open with a large screwdriver. One of them had been changed to a different code that hadn't been updated in our systems therefore, it was significantly more difficult to break in. The spring opening is easier than in masterlocks of the same.
The key lock box is well constructed. In terms of its use, it is very useful, has an easy installation process, and is very effective. There are not enough numbers on the combination wheels to make out clearly. It can be a little difficult to close the box when the keys are put in it because there is nothing to hold them in place. There would be a lot more benefits if there was a hook installed on the inside to hold the keys.
Has a good feel to it and appears to do what it is supposed to. This has been my Airbnb hosting provider for many months now and hasn't caused me any issues. I've had the box for about 6 months, and it's been used to hold keys for dozens of guests and cleaning staff. If I could make one improvement, it would be to put a small hook inside so keys or a single key could hang from it instead of falling into In order for the door to lock properly, it has to be positioned so that the keys cannot be crunched as the door closes. However, I could easily add a hook to the code to fix it myself.
The only problem I have with this is the fact that for people living alone who want this in case EMS or family need access to check, it is not clear that you have to lower the lid that hides the code or that then you have to pull down the lever on the side of it. In the end, I placed a laminated instruction on the box just above the keyhole. The lever does, however, have one positive aspect. Nonetheless, trying to figure out the code with four digits will take far longer, and having to retrieve the level each time will add to the search time. You should make sure you don't use easy options as your code like 0000 or 1111 or 1234 or 9999, which are quick to find.
A masonry wall in the front yard houses this and it is hidden from view. Even if I lose power to my coded door or the garage key stops working, I can still get to my house keys without carrying them. The lock is so hard to open that it won't even open if someone manages to get it off the wall, which I doubt since I used very good anchors. My first choice when trying to break in would be to break a window or something. This is something I recommend.
However, I am not a big fan of those that hang from the door knob because the box makes it difficult if not impossible to open the door and they scratch the door knob, especially if you have a dark knob. It was easy for me to screw this lockbox directly to my porch railing, which I can then use for hanging towels and other items. In order to make it easier for my guests, they can now retrieve the key if I am not home to meet In the event of inclement weather, there is even a little window that can be closed to cover the numbers. There is one box installed on my sidewalk of which I am very happy. It is well hidden from view for people who walk past it.
It also lacks any sophisticated security measures to prevent brute-forcing - just trying all 10,000 combinations seems to do the trick - instead. After x failed attempts, so some sort of lockout can be applied or a freeze out period that can be enforced would make me feel safer leaving this in my car unattended with my spare key inside. I bring it inside with me to keep it safe if I'm in a sketchy area. It appears to have a pretty sound structure There appears to be a structural weakness in the hinge, something that would take a lot of treatment to break. For the price, there wasn't an alternative that was secure enough to store a larger quantity of small keys, and brute forcing a 4 digit combination takes a while, so it proved to be a "good enough" option to store a limited quantity of smaller keys. You're going to have to spend quite a bit more if you want to keep things really secure. Normally 5 digit versions of this product or similar products aren't available - I'd just love to see them. It does not matter if the tumblers have 99 digits. In a case where brute force was harder to defeat than 9% of production cost, I would have gladly paid 25% more for the combo.
