My case was not able to be opened at all, so I had to return it, and they resent a new one. The replacement I was sent too couldn't be opened, so it is returned as well. Now that I am not trusting it, I was planning to keep my will in In the same vein, the executor might not even be able to access the file!
There is a steel circle that hangs from the other end of the cable There is a "u" shaped lip at the bottom of the box (where the top and bottom come together when closed) The cable can fit through the channel that is just the right size. Lay the cable in the slot of the box before closing it so that the washer is in the box before it is closed. If the box is closed and locked, you cannot pull the cable out because the washer is too big to fit through the hole in the box.

It has a really solid construction, good dimensions, the lock mechanism works flawlessly, and it's very easy to set up. Take a look at my pictures now call me crazy, but to me, the place where the "AmazonBasics" logo is placed, is the front of the product. In God's name, why then are the numbers upside down when you look at this lock from this angle? Does this have something to do with a defective unit? Was this happening to me all along? Could you please tell me what is Open the lid towards you - wouldn't that be counterintuitive?.
This is horrible. I tried opening it a few times and now I'm unable to do so. It is unusable. I need my medications and other items, but they are in there and I'm unable to get to.
It's a very awkward situation to open it this way. The box's numbers are hard to figure out after it has been locked, and one of the dials is difficult to turn. It contains too small foams and doesn't fit snugly, which results in the top one falling out every time the box is opened and these foams also are too thin to hold a firearm It is loud when I close it and then lift the box and rest it on its side. I can hear the gun and magazines sliding in between the foam and hitting If you want a case to hold things you don't mind sliding around in and don't need to hold them in place, you can just take out the egg carton foam and put just the flat foam in there instead. It would be a great lockbox if they did that and addressed all the issues I brought up with the dial. Considering that these issues are very obvious, it is hard to believe that they weren't addressed before releasing it to the public.
There's a good chance I will receive a refund. Despite that, my gear inside it did not work, thus I lost my money and time, so I wish I could receive a refund from them.

Others have also mentioned that the numbers seem to be upside down when compared to the way the case should be ruled. It is an extremely difficult watch to read in any light, but the dial is dull grey and the numbers are black, making it impossible to read even in full sunlight.
