Index cards no longer fit perfectly! I bought 100 of these label holders two years ago and used them all on storage containers around the house, so I returned for more. I am dissatisfied with the outcome - The pocket for a 3x5 index card is only 2 3/4" tall this time. It appears that this is a nit-picky situation. It's nitpicky, but it indicates that the paper card is protruding and catching on things. Aside from that, I use them to label storage bins and even large zip bags. I've been using them to separate and store sewing projects in their own bags recently. It's simple to switch out the index card once I'm done with a project without having to deal with adhesive peeling off - Simply replace the card inside the holder and leave it in place.
I haven't yet adhered them to my board, but once I do, I'll report back on how well they adhere. My issue is that approximately a quarter of the plastic pockets are completely useless due to warping and wrinkles.
This is ideal for classroom use. The only drawback is that when children pick at them, they rip. I used them as desk name tags, drawer labels, and shelves labels. My 5th graders didn't constantly touch and play with them, so the ones on bookshelves and drawers lasted the longest.
I can now write down the contents of each box on a 3x5 index card that fits in the pocket. If the contents change for any reason, I can simply insert an updated index card into the appropriate storage box's pocket. br> It's a great solution.
When I was cleaning up the Marie Kondo way, I used these pocket holders to place 3x5 cards on the outside of boxes. They were the most cost-effective option for the quantity. Because I found them to be so useful, I ended up using them more than I anticipated. Originally, I planned to purchase a different brand with a quantity of 25 and a higher per-pocket cost. I'm glad I bought these because they work great and I've used them in unexpected ways.
The package for the card pockets was broken, and the contents were all over the envelope that they were delivered in when I opened the outer package and looked inside. I double-checked that I had received 100 of them. The product is exactly what I needed, but the packaging was in poor condition.
I went out and labeled every single one of my containers right away. Ahh. Time will tell how well they hold up in dry heat, but for now, they're perfect.
I'm also an obsessive labeler and organizer. This is perfect with some pretty, colorful index cards, which are surprisingly thick and secure. I have them on cardboard mailing boxes, but I plan to use them on some plastic storage totes as well because I think they'll work fine.
