Hi, Ed: No, you can't take the dividers out. They're attached to the base with a welded connection. Sandy, this is a fantastic item.
The organizer I bought is 11 1/4" wide, 8 3/4" tall, and 12 1/2" wide from front to back, including the 1/2" base. It's exactly what I'm looking for.

This is a good product; I use it to hold cakeboards and parchment paper. Large objects that would otherwise be strewn about. br>br>The only issue is that the company that sells it emails you about three times a week pleading for a review. So that's my take on it. This is a good one to use if you need a large file. Someone else can sell it for you.
This Mindspace organizer is one of my favorites. I used to have a jumble of files and papers on my desk, but now I have a sturdy organizer to keep everything in order. I was able to make good use of the six vertical compartments by keeping everything at my fingertips instead of having to look for important documents. It comes in a nice box, and I'm impressed with the product's quality; it appears that they place a premium on product quality. If you want a well-organized desk, this book is a must-have.
We use it to keep all of our laptops and iPads in one location. The slots are wide enough to hold our one old laptop with a thick battery, and the holder is nice and heavy, so it won't tip over when we remove a few of the laptops. It was also pre-assembled, which was a nice touch. We needed a file holder that could hold the weight of multiple laptops, and this wasn't the cheapest option on the market. We were blown away by how well this turned out!.
Yay! I strongly advise you to read this book. This organizer arrived on time and performs exactly as it should. I have a lot of discbound notebooks, and a lot of them have bulky items/samples in them. Everything is held in place by this piece. NO books that fall over; NO OVERTURNING; Sliding is not permitted. There will be no issues. As a result, I am extremely pleased with this product line and will purchase from it again.
This is ideal for the man or woman who already has it all- However, he has a cluttered desk! My husband received it as a gift to help him organize his various journals, pamphlets, and other papers; he immediately set it up and enjoys it. I'm going to get a second one for my desk!.
This isn't a well-made product. Two drops of glue are used to connect each rack to the base. It hasn't been welded or snapped into place. Some of them abruptly disbanded. br>br>The base is sturdy and has some weight to it. It should've had holes in it for the racks to snap into. br>br>However, it is not sturdy as is, and I do not recommend it.
The product was packaged in a box inside a box. The product frame, however, was bent, and some of the paint had chipped off in several places, as well as a couple of the file dividers. The product's main box was slashed open on one side, indicating that it was of poor quality.
These were purchased to keep my silicone bowl covers organized. It's ideal because I can quickly pick up the size I require.
