Is it possible to turn the handle?

That's correct. The handle was installed backwards in the photo. It's about 5" long, and it's a fantastic product.

It's good, but it's now out of reach for most people

We had been using this product for years and then all of a sudden the price went up by 50% in a month. The product itself is fine, and the holder (installed backwards in the photo) is also fine. We were unable to make progress after contacting JC Parry directly to see if the product could be obtained in skids at a lower cost. We discovered another company PackagingSuppliesByMail sells the same item including the holder for more than 60% less after much research.
