What is the height of the front vertical part? What is the width (depth) of each slot?

This file holder is one of my favorites. It was immediately put to good use. The following are the measurements: br> 2" high front bar; The following two bars are 3" tall each; The back bar measures 5 1/2" in length. Each bar has a 1 1/2" spacing between it. There's enough space in each for several file folders, and it's very sturdy, which was my main concern. It's also a nice-looking piece.

This item does a good job of holding my mail

My mail is kept in there. Rather than me holding my mail, I prefer it to be held by it. It does not accept my email, which is a good thing. It sits there waiting for me to put my mail in it so that it can be held. After that, it keeps it. Now I have access to my mail. It has no effect on my ability to receive mail. I have complete freedom to remove the mail that I have deposited there. I'm very pleased with how well it performs in terms of mail delivery.
