You'd have to fold the paper because it's only 6 inches wide.
My letter was 8 1/2 x 11 inches and fit into the bag perfectly.

They do what they're supposed to do; my only wish is that the door knob hole was a little bigger. I'd buy them again.
I'm a Realtor, and I'm planning to send out Christmas cards with magnets, which will require two stamps each. yikes. I ended up putting them in these bags and walking around my neighborhood, hanging them on people's mailboxes!.
I purchased these doorknob bags in order to disseminate information from our homeowners' association to them. Because you're not supposed to put things in mail boxes, this completely fills the bill, allowing you to hang it on their doorknobs. The papers are folded into thirds and slipped into this 6" x 12" size. It's simple and straightforward.
I like how thick they are; they are much easier to handle than the flimsy barely there bags that aren't as nice. They don't wrinkle, hang well, and look professional.
The bag was substantial and spacious enough for my requirements. There were a few tears along the side seam, but I'd had enough.

It's a great idea to leave holiday goodies at neighbors' doors instead of stuffing them through mail slots or leaving them on the ground at the door. This is a great item to have on hand for Halloween, Christmas, and other special occasions.
Exactly as stated. Binding is insufficient for anything other than paper.
