I can see the print on the reverse side if I use regular 20lb paper, but I wouldn't call it a "bleed" - There aren't any splotches on the surface. However, I usually print on 24lb paper, which is opaque.

The thing is, gel pens and roller balls irritate me. However, in these cases, I was incorrect. These pens have a smooth writing surface with no scratching or skipping, and they dry quickly. Take a look at them and see if they're right for you.
I'm left-handed, and fellow lefties reading this will understand how difficult it is to use Gel pens with our left hands. Smeared ink, stained hands, and smudged writing - that's all there was to it. However, this is no longer the case. A coworker had purchased a single one of these paper mate pens for me to try, and I was hooked within 30 seconds. First and foremost, the ink dries quickly, so I didn't have to worry about smudging it. Ever. Second, they have such a fluid writing style. Third, the colors are vibrant and bright, and fourth, the pens are comfortable to hold. Everyone else tries to take these pens, so I have to keep them hidden. I no longer allow my coworkers to use them because everyone who does says, "I'm going to take this!" " or simply tries to leave them alone. The only drawback I've discovered is that after about two weeks of daily use, the ink begins to stall while writing, almost as if it's run out, but not completely. But that's after using one pen all day (I carry it in my purse to work, use it all day at work, then put it back in my purse! They're that amazing, I'm telling you! ) for a couple of days over the course of two weeks! I love that this package includes all of the different colors, as well as multiples of some of them, because I can't seem to get enough of them! br>br>***Recent Changes- After finally using more than a couple of pens, I've discovered at least three that don't work at all. It doesn't work after I take out the plastic stopper (there's a small bead on the tip of the pen before you use it). I try a lot of different things, but nothing comes out. Alternatively, the amount of time I spend attempting.
When I first started using these pens, I was completely enamored with them. The ink never smeared, the writing was smooth, and the colors were vibrant. However, this changed after a few days of use. The ink started to skip, look rough at times, and pool a little. I'm extremely dissatisfied with this outcome. br>br>The hunt for the ideal gel pen goes on.
So far, half of the pens I've used have simply stopped working. When I shake them, it appears that ink is present in the cartridge, but the ink does not transfer to the paper. I experimented with different surfaces, leaving pens out to be used later, and applying more and less pressure - However, the purples and blues do not work well together. I'm just a little disappointed because Paper Mate products usually make me happy. This is also more than I would normally spend on journaling pens, which adds to the disappointment of the purchase.
I've been a teacher for thirteen years, and in the beginning, I would accept anything that could be written. InkJoy Gel Pens are now my personal favorite. I will not accept substitutes (though Bic Cristals will always have a special place in my heart. )br>br>Here's what I like about them:
1. They come in a rainbow of colors that are both vibrant and fun! Two of my favorites are included in this pack- Purple and teal are two complementary colors. Both colors are suitable for the task at hand (i. e. I'm not signing legal paperwork over here; I'm writing in my planner, making sticky notes, giving student feedback, and so on. ) The lime green is a little light, but InkJoy makes pens that are easy to read in general. There are no crazy unreadable neons (except in the larger pack, which has yellow as an option- That's why I hardly ever use it! )br>br>2. )br>br>3. )br>br>4. ) The flow! When it comes to my pens, flow is crucial, and these pens have THE BEST FLOW. Gel pens can become ruddy and choppy over time, making writing with them a chore, but not with these guys-- They're silky, carefree, and stunning! 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. They don't smear or bleed in any way. I'm not sure, other reviewers complained that they did, but perhaps they used them incorrectly? I'm going to blame it on user error because I've never had a problem before. I've been using these pens for a few years now, and they've always been a pleasure to use. br>br>I suppose the only disadvantage is the cost; they're more expensive than a ball point pen, but hey, you get what you pay for, and I value a good writing experience.
They have a lot of color variety, but at a 0 point, they write quite thickly. 7-point ballpoint pen There is very little bleed through, which is also a plus! For taking long notes, they provide a very comfortable grip. Overall, I'm impressed, and I'd buy it again if I had the opportunity -.
I bought these pens to use in my journal. They work fine for a few sentences before the ink stops flowing, despite the fact that the pen still has plenty of ink. Even though the pen is brand new, I have to shake it or tap it against a hard surface to get the ink to flow evenly. They're comfortable, and the colors are nice, but it's a pain to use these pens when I have to use two or more pens to write a paragraph because I know the ink won't last that long out of one. These are some of the worst pens I've ever used, especially in the lighter colors.
