Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use these for rock painting?

These are extremely finely pointed, and my original intent in purchasing them was to use them to paint messages on rocks as part of my rock painting hobby. For me, they're a little too fine. I do, however, use them for journaling when I need a fine pointed pen. Yes, if you don't mind the very fine point, they can be used to write messages on rocks. The sepia and black were both purchased. They are of excellent quality.

It's a water-based ink. So, how waterproof and long-lasting is the ink?

I discovered the following on Sakura's website: br>"Because pigments alone do not guarantee that an ink will last, resins are added to make it waterproof, as well as universally compatible with other media such as watercolors, oils, acrylic paints, and so on. The micron particles are small enough to stay stable within its water-resistant container. based solvent that ensures color shade consistency and easy ink flow.

What are your thoughts on the new micron pn pens for everyday use? According to a video on YouTube, they aren't as smooth. ?

These are what I use for my Zentangle designs, and they work really well and leave a nice line.

Microns that aren't real! PN in microns The Micron PN in 8 CT that I purchased from Amazon is a forgery
3/5

It's not waterproof, it bleeds through notebook paper, and the barrels differ slightly. For starters, instead of being printed on the barrel, the micron label is a sticker. The second problem is that the barrel is made of low-cost plastic. The third point is that the color is a tad off. Finally, the cap is more precise and less expensive. See pics.

FAKE ! I knew something wasn't right when I tried writing with these for the first time
3/5

They simply did not feel or write in the same way that the REAL ones did. br>br>You can tell they're drying quickly because they're almost dry! br>br>I'm also going to post a picture of the crooked writing on the pen! They haven't even attempted to make a convincing imitation pen. Anyone can see this right away. br>br>I KNEW there was a good chance I'd get a fake when I went in, but you know how it goes - You keep reading all the positive reviews and believe you'll be one of the lucky few to get your hands on genuine Micron pens. Isn't that awful? When you buy something on Amazon, you're hoping against hope that it's the real thing!br>br>I used to buy a lot from Amazon, but now I only buy things that I know are the real thing or that have all of the reviews confirming it. br>br>It's a pain in the neck. I'm going to Goulet Pens or Jetpens to get these. br>br>TL: DR Don't waste your money on these.

All of the permanence, all of the colors, and all of the sturdiness! With this set of PN pens, Sakura has hit the ball out of the park! The fine-tipped nib is less likely to break and can withstand more use
5/5

I've got one of each color now! br>br>The PN pens glide across the paper smoothly and are the same size as my other Pigma Micron pens. I can grab it to make inking easier, or I can give it to a child and teach them how to draw with high-quality tools without having to worry about needles. ended hints issues in unintentionally ungentle hands! br>br>The colors are vibrant and consistent, and you can paint over them with watercolors without worrying about them fading. It's been a lot of fun to play around with different combinations. br>br>I hope you're as pleased with your new set as I am with mine!.

Smudge quality archival paper
3/5

I need to specify that this is for the Sakura Pigma 50220 Micron Blister Card Ink Pen set because Amazon likes to mix customer reviews for related but really different products. This is the only pen set that includes a ball point pen tip, not a flare pin or a brush. I bought this pen set for archival quality so I could sign fine art photos (if I'm not dry mounting or placing behind an archival mat) and write more information on the backside of those prints. I've only tried it on Canon Pro Luster Paper, but even after two days of drying, the ink smudges when I wipe my fingers across it (this is the back side). I haven't tried it on Museo Silver Rag or other archival papers yet, and I am not planning to. I'm not sure how the pens with the flair tip behave. However, if you're using Canon Pro Luster photo paper and want to sign and add more information to the back, it may last a century, but it'll be prone to smudging in the early days. I haven't had enough time with these pens to comment on their other capabilities, but so far, the reverse side of this type of photo paper has been very disappointing.

These are fantastic
5/5

I became addicted to archival ink and discovered that pigma microns were highly regarded for a reason. I adore the way microns write, and I think they're ideal for journaling. I'm not a fan of the larger nib sizes, but I'm also not a fan of the smallest, and I kept running into the micron PN and having no idea what that meant or how they differed. Curiosity got the better of me, and I learned that PN stands for Plastic Nib. I'm a huge fan of the tombow fudenosuke pens, and these appeared to be similar. I fell head over heels for these right away and don't think I'll ever look back. It's purely a matter of taste, and I prefer the harder nibs for writing.

For me, this has become a new favorite
5/5

I'm a planner and journal girl, and I found out about these pens thanks to a YouTube review by a vlogger. I bought the pens after reading a positive review and seeing that the vlogger liked them. I'm a pen aficionado/snob who is constantly on the lookout for new pens to add to my collection. The quality of these pens is incredible! I like how the ink flows and how the tips are placed. The tip nibs are plastic rather than fibrous, as they are in many pens. They write in a smooth manner, with the exact line width that I prefer. 45mm. I'm hoping they'll be sold separately because I'd like to buy more black pens for my journaling and don't need any more colored pens. Sakura, thank you so much! One of my favorite lines has produced yet another fantastic pen.

I adore the various colors and the plastic nib in this piece of art
5/5

More colors would be nice, and the PN should be available in a variety of sizes. 45 IS A GOOD SIZE, but I prefer not to "destroy" my pen by working on top of water color tiles or other dimensional pages.

EASY FLOW WITH A NARROW TIP I bought these pens and a journal at the same time
5/5

Choices was something I wanted in my writing. They're fantastic because they're a good size and write exceptionally well. All of the colors are distinct and stand out well on the page. I'm just hoping I don't lose a cap for any of them, which is, of course, not the fault of the pens, but rather my forgetfulness. They were delivered on time and in good condition.
