Questions & Answers

Is there any smearing of the ink? I'm curious if these are suitable for a left-handed person. author who is left-handed ?

Actually, I'm on the left-hand side of the equation. I'm in a good position to respond to this question because I'm left-handed: The type of paper you use has a big impact on whether or not the ink smears. As a baby shower favor, I made bookmarks out of cardstock, and the matte surface didn't smear. My hand, on the other hand, was slightly smeared with ink on regular ruled paper. When compared to other fine-tip pen brands (e.g., Pilot), the overall performance is superior. They don't smear much at all (, Sharpie). The worst smearing occurs almost exclusively on thin/waxy papers.

Is it true that the ink on a bible's pages bleeds?

These are fantastic pens. The ink doesn't bleed through the paper. I've been using them for over a year and have used them to mark at least four Bibles. Them. I'm going to keep ordering these for all of my markings.

Is it possible to apply these to canvas?

If you're working with gouache or acrylic, they certainly can.

Is it okay if I use these pens to take notes at school? Or will they bleed through the pages of a notebook?

They can be used to jot down ideas. They've never bled through paper in my experience.

This is one of the best
5/5

I've been using these pens since 2007, and while I've experimented with a variety of other pens, both expensive and inexpensive, I always return to Microns. There's something unique about how they make the ink. Sakura's inks are the darkest and fade-resistant of any inking pen I've tried. Whether they smear or not is determined by the type of paper you use. re using. It will not smear on copy or cardstock, but it will smear on smooth papers such as marker or smooth Bristol. It doesn't bleed through either. I wouldn't use these for everyday writing because the nibs can be quite thin and break under heavy use. Drawing, sketching, drafting, and inking are all possible with them. If you color over marker paper with a marker, there will be some smearing. Prismacolor markers, in comparison to copic markers, smear more. On smooth papers, erasing over the lines can lighten the ink; however, on bond paper, this is less effective. If you remember to cap microns when not in use and keep them in a dry, dark place, they will last a long time.

Pens that I've recently discovered and fallen in love with
5/5

For what seems like an eternity-- Actually, it's been a year and a half- I'd dismissed a lot of very hip and trendy advice blogs all recommending these pens since I started my slow but steady journey into bullet journals, note books, and spiraling pen addiction. br>br>Now I see why they're so popular. br>br>I've had these pens since August (2019), and they've completely replaced all other pens in my collection. I use the 01 Micron for my bullet journal's tiny print and the others for regular writing and note-taking elsewhere, but they're both fantastic. br>br>Neither the ink nor the cheaper lined paper that I occasionally use ghost in my bullet journal. They have a wonderful flow. They do take a few moments to dry, so if you forget (like I do) and go to brush something off the page just a millisecond after using them, they will smear a little. Allow it to sit for a few moments before brushing dirt, stray cat hair, or eraser debris off the page, as you would with any good pen and ink. br>br>I adore these pens and am hoping to be able to save enough money to purchase more. RECOMMEND? br>br> Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

I had an issue with my first purchase
3/5

Only one pen works out of the three. The number one Pens with the number 03 do not work. The 05 pen is currently operational, but no one knows how long it will be. This purchase has left me extremely dissatisfied. br>I contacted Amazon to request a refund for my purchase. The three pens were sent in a new package. The original package did not need to be returned. I am grateful for the new one that was sent to me. When the three pens arrived, I put them to the test. All three work, and I'm giving them a couple more stars in the hopes that they will continue to work for at least a while.

I've bought a lot of pens like these in the past few years, trying to find a set that 1
4/5

If it gets wet, it won't run, and 2. will be quick to dry, and 3. I like matte, but if the rest is there, I'd settle for a little shine. br>When I first started using these, I was pleasantly surprised. All three of those characteristics were checked off the list. However, there is a fourth option that I had not considered - I don't mean I'm writing pages and pages in a journal, but I'm not fading as I write. I mean a small block of text on a postcard, and I'm disappointed that this fading occurs only after about 7 times of use in postcard text with the 5 pen. As a result, it appears that I'm still on the lookout for quality pens. I'll continue to use these in the meantime.

I enjoy using these pens for writing
4/5

Pros: br>* Writing with these pens is a lot of fun. br>* The ink is a deep black that does not smear or run when dry. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. br>* If you don't wait a few seconds for the ink to dry, it will smudge. If you're writing or drawing a lot of text or drawings, this becomes more of an issue. I also use it to jot down ideas for upcoming projects. When I'm writing notes all over the page on printed material, I have a tendency to put my hand over what I've just written to write something above it. This must be done with caution. br>* If I keep the pens in their tip-up position, The ink runs all over the place when the lid is slid down. This is something to do when the ink runs out or the tip becomes dry, but not otherwise. br>br>Bottom line:br>I'll order them again, but I'll take precautions when using them.

Once you've gotten used to the quirks, it's fantastic
4/5

These were purchased in two packs. I bought one for myself and one for a tattoo artist friend who had previously used them and raved about them. He drew a lot and drew a lot, so he quickly depleted his supply. br>br>By writing with one of my markers, my daughter broke the tip. As a result, I was extra cautious with the markers I had left. That was the issue I was having. I didn't let myself loose with them when it came to sketching. A small cylinder forms the marker's tip. Ink would only come out of the end of the cylinder when the marker was brand new. I couldn't get consistent ink on the paper unless I pressed down on the marker when I held it naturally (at an angle). Because I needed a fine line and was afraid of breaking the marker, I didn't want to press down. The advice is extremely useful. I like it, but it's still a little too wide for me. After determining that the markers would be ineffective for my needs, I began sketching with them. I discovered that the markers could make any kind of line at this point - as good as you'd expect!! The marker, I believe, had to be shattered. Ink now comes from the point where the tip's flat point and the cylinder's side meet after some light abuse. Because it's a precise edge, you can precisely control the thickness of your line. It took some time to get used to these markers, but I'm very pleased with the results now.

It's ideal for using with watercolor pencils or paint
5/5

The broader point is appealing to me. I made the mistake of using regular Prismacolor colored pencils with these. The wax from the pencils clogged up the nibs. (I had no idea they weren't supposed to be used with wax. ) pencils with a lead) I received an email from a Sakura representative explaining why I can't use them with wax-based products. After I promised I would only use them with my watercolor pencils, they sent me three new ones. Customer service is outstanding.
