Yes, it's an excellent way to protect any metal. appears to be excellent
I don't always seal this product because I use it as a finishing touch. However, I've used sifted clear sealer for stamping. sifted on with a fine enamel sifter and heated to (approximately) 300°F as I do to seal my PolyShrink jewelry and give it a lustrous finish.
Yes, it should show up against a dark background, but because it isn't completely opaque, you may need more than one coat if you want it to be really bright. Although I've only used it on watercolor paper or canvas, I'm sure it bleeds through thin papers.
I haven't tried it on furniture yet, but it appears to be very adaptable to a variety of surfaces, and I believe it would work on furniture.

I have a set of Limoges soup bowls that have been passed down through my family for over a century. These bowls were used by my grandmother to serve her homemade soup, by my mother, and now by me. I wanted to try out this gold leaf pen before sending them away to be restored because the gold edging had worn off in some places and was wearing thin in others. The 18kt gold pen performed admirably. It was a perfect match for the edging, and I couldn't be happier.
Even though I knew the ring wasn't genuine, it held a lot of sentimental value for me. I went to the beach and forgot to remove my ring before entering the pool. It tarnished horribly as a result of the chlorine! I purchased this pen in the hopes of saving the ring! It was a success!.
I can't say enough good things about this product, and I'm very pleased with the results:.
This pen is fantastic! My Robinson's logo had some tarnish on it, and I tried to polish it, but that only made it worse, so this pen restored it to a lovely gold. It isn't as gleaming as the chain, but it is barely noticeable. I'm about halfway through the second photo, and you can already see the difference. I have not yet used my wallet; if it does not hold up, I will update this review.
This is by far the best. When I use other pens, they usually stop performing or begin to leave globs on whatever I'm working on. This pen is not one of them. br>I've used it on a number of occasions in the past. canvas that has been treated, canvas that has been painted, metal, and plastic. Drawing on any surface has never been a problem for me. I used it to paint a section of my PS3 controller that isn't heavily used, and it hasn't worn off yet. br>If you want a realistic gold look that won't wear out quickly, I would recommend this pen over any other pen.
This is a hobby pen that I bought. Mostly to touch up a few action figures and model kits that needed repainting. I bought two different brands because you never know how things will turn out. This pen, on the other hand, came out on top. It only took a few coats to get the job done! It doesn't appear to be too glossy, and it looks solid gold! br>br> However, the most significant disadvantage is the tip. It's mostly flat, so it's not suitable for small details. Using a tray or paper plate, press the pen down to leave a small amount of paint on it is a simple fix. It's best not to overfill the container because it will quickly dry out. br>br> This is a photo of the repainted Goldar from the Power Rangers Lightning Collection. It was almost mustard yellow when it was first made. That's how my work with this pen turned out.
This pen was purchased to repair and brighten up the metal scarab attached to my Valentino bag. The scarab was scratched, and while I was advised to replace it with a new scarab piece from Italy, I declined. Because the piece's original coat is a matte gold, as opposed to the metal on the strap, this shiny gold color was a good match. I removed the scarab and applied two coats of paint to it. Because I didn't know how long it would take to set, I let the metal piece sit for 24 hours. The final product is stunning, and the process was incredibly simple.
This is the first time I've bought a pen like this, so I don't know all the possibilities, but I used it for card-making. I like the coverage and ease of use, but I have no idea how long it will last; if it does last a long time and does not dry up, I will update this review to five stars.
