The glass dip pen writes with a medium stroke, though this can vary depending on how much ink is loaded into it. It's a fun pen with a twisted writing end that can hold a lot of ink. It's well-written and easy to follow. The stroke becomes wider when you use a lot of ink.

My glass pen is from Murano, Italy, and it's quite expensive. These pens aren't as pretty as the others, but they're still very attractive, write just as well, and are significantly less expensive. They're simple to use and clean, and they hold a lot of ink so you don't have to keep dipping the pen while trying to finish a sentence. For glass pens, they are well-made and durable. They were delivered in a plain white box, bubble wrapped. The nib end of each pen was protected from damage during transit by a rubbery plastic sleeve. I would purchase this item again, and I would not hesitate to give it as a gift. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> These pens have been in my possession for about 4 months. I use them about 5 times a week in rotation. One of the pens unexpectedly splintered at the tip, forcing it to be discarded. I didn't drop it or abuse it in any way. Not that I'm complaining because I believe I got my money's worth for the amount of time it was put to use. I'm just passing along this information to anyone who might be interested.
I bought these glass dip pens to use as ink swabs and to test fountain pen inks. br>br>I chose this set because I'd read in other glass dip pen reviews that the pens had broken in shipping or that the tips had broken soon after receiving the pens. With three pens, one of them had to arrive in good condition, so this set seemed like a good choice. br>br>They were well-wrapped and free of flaws when they arrived. They're quite lovely and well-made. There are multiple points/shapes to anchor on when writing, which is another great feature of the design. They're also easy to clean, requiring only water and a paper towel; however, because they're made of glass, be careful not to clean them like the Hulk. br>br>I would highly recommend these pens because of their affordability, quality, asthetics, and feel in the hand.
Who'd have guessed that a glass dip pen could bring so much joy? The key is in the spirals, which can hold a lot of ink. br>br> I've written ten-line paragraphs without having to rewrite any of them. I don't write in the tiniest of fonts, and I don't write in the tiniest of fonts. They don't scratch, and if properly loaded, they write smoothly and without ink blobs. br>br>Of course, they're fragile, as they're made of glass. As a result, make sure they don't fall off the table. They are, however, inexpensive to replace if they break. br>br>They're miniature works of art with a lovely aesthetic. And, best of all, they work flawlessly with India ink, which is available in a variety of colors and can also be mixed to create custom colors for drawing and painting even the tiniest details. They're easy to clean, and any dried-on ink can be removed with ease using a soft toothbrush. br>br>Have a good time with them!.
I gave one to my daughter and kept the other two for myself. They're fantastic. For my watercolors, I use them in conjunction with masking fluid.
They're very pretty and pretty close to the description, but keep in mind that they're handmade and will have minor variations from what's shown. They write well, but there is a sweet spot for them. Overall, it was a good buy for the money. When you open the package, be careful because, despite the fact that they had a protective sleeve over the tip and were wrapped in bubble wrap, I almost dropped some when I took them out of the box. They were placed inside a fold of bubble wrap rather than being secured within it.
These were purchased to be used with acrylic and india inks. Some acrylic inks are a little too thick to flow and must be thinned, but this isn't a major issue. Inks for India and fountain pens work well together. I'm not a big fan of the "ball" for the finger grip because some of them are larger than others and it gets a little uncomfortable after a while. But it's not a deal breaker. Something I wish I had purchased years ago. br>br> For the money, you can't go wrong with them.
So these are a pretty good deal; they draw ink well and write quickly. Although, as with most glass, they are quite fragile. br>br>Not that they weren't well packaged; mine were each wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap. Just don't be an idiot like me and drop it into your rinse cup without realizing it's glass. My very tippy tip broke off, but it still writes (sort of), albeit with very wide rather than thin strokes. And the paper is torn apart. The unbroken ones, on the other hand, are like magic. Simply wonderful. br>br>10/10 would purchase again (for my mother).
My art supplies would be incomplete without the glass nib pens. They're attractive, hold a lot of ink per dip, write smoothly, and I can get a variety of line widths with them, though they're not as versatile as my nib pens in this regard. The fact that there are three for such a low price is a huge plus. They're silky smooth, cool to the touch, and a joy to handle. The slight turned ribs running the length of the shaft ensure a comfortable grip. They clean up beautifully with just water and a rag, though after a long session, a little alcohol may be required. These pens are truly wonderful.
