Questions & Answers

Where can I find old 35mm negatives that weren't taken with a 35mm camera?

The answer is yes. A light table made by me many years ago is what I use. Just a wooden box with a plexiglass top of 1/4 inch white. A fluorescent light and a battery are included in the box. This box is used with a A loupe is used to look at slides and in some cases There are some ready-made light tables available on Amazon if you search for "light table" They came up with There are some tables that use LEDs, and I might even buy one of them myself, as they are more compact than my current set. Hope you have a successful week!

Is there a way to unscrew the base of the glass/plastic?

There is no way to unscrew the glass or plastic base. Any minor to major crack or deminiscence in a diamond, per se, would be noticed by a diamond dealer.

It's good at reading coins, isn't it?

The problem I encountered when I tried to use the magnifier to read coins was that it was pretty difficult to get enough light onto the coin without having to lift the magnifier off. I saw that while reading a dime's date, you can appreciate how small it is, and I found myself using a flashlight (LED hi beam), moving the Carson scope slightly, and lifting the Carson scope in order to read it fully. The article drills down just that deeply. With my new measurement technique, I was able to place the entire date within its field of view, however, in order to minimize glare I had to adjust it slightly so that I could read the whole date without much difficulty. *br>Now that I know what I now know about this lumiloupe, I would try to find something perhaps a bit better if I had not purchased it. This 5x scope was 5 times the size of this 10x, and it was able to zoom in quite well, however the magnification was still only 5x. An even bigger base dimension would be found in another 10x. Please let me know if this helped!

Could I use this magnifier to examine my plants for bugs? Could you please suggest an alternative if it is not possible?

In this book, there are some booklets with small prints, some with negatives (older ones) and some with b&w prints. In the case of aphids and mites, it should be able to be used for viewing the small ones. Bigger ones would be too frightening. The closer you are, the more likely you are to see it.

It works well with 35mm slides measuring 2" x 2"
5/5

Currently, I do not intend to convert the large parts of my library of slides into digital files. Why does a loupe need to do certain things? As a first step, 35mm slides should be able to show the entire image without the need for the loupe to be moved from side to side. You don't have to worry about it, the You also want to know when your image is not sharp by having a loupe that will signal that. Even though this loupe can't match the performance of others that cost many times what this loupe costs, it can provide a sharp enough image to help you differentiate between slides worth copying from those that shouldn't. Thus, this loupe can be said to help you save money while providing quality results.

The best loupe you can get at a reasonable price
5/5

A couple of them are always with me. One is kept in my field bag to inspect rock samples, and one is on my desk for checking There is excellent magnification, and the edges are not distorted (as is usually the case with cheap lenses, like those made of glass). The camera has an adequate 1" field of view at 10x with a 1" lens and this will be sufficient for most application needs. The self-esteem of any individual depends on how much effort they put in If you are using a standing loupe, there must be a side light to illuminate the object or you won't be able to see anything. In addition to coin and stamp collectors, it makes an excellent microscope for examining rock surfaces as well.

Does it have a 7x magnification? The odds are not in our favor
3/5

I bought two Carson portable microscopes here at Amazon about a year ago. The Carson MM-230 sat on my desk for a long time This 300 is a variant of the Carson MM-76 In both cases, the goods were wretched and The optical quality was particularly poor, as well as the lack of eye-catching colors I am relieved. You can imagine what it's like to see somewhere Having wasted my money, I feel like a loser. This is the 7x magnifier that Carson refers to. As a result, the magnification is not even close to being as powerful as the 7 times claimed. Even though I think it would have been too strong for my needs, I almost chose the 10x model. It would have been better for me if I knew Carson hypes their specs 60%, so I would I was also able to get it at a cheaper price, which was It is actually adequate for a magnifier with a power of 3x. As you can see, it looks almost bulletproof as a result of its rather massive and heavy design. These are some measurements I made quickly A great deal of it measures about 3 inches or 77 millimeters A model number could be related to this (this could explain the name). This is a bulky and heavy binocular while its optical quality is acceptable, its magnification is quite mediocre. The magnifier is 300% larger than what it should be for a 3x unit. This magnifier received five stars for quality and durability (doesn't Amazon completely redundant? Not a good deal). I will conclude by saying that, if you just require a little magnification in a sturdy magnifier, then fine. However, don't expect anything like a real 7 mag or decent eye-glass magnifier. I am relieved.

This is a nice view with a lot to see
5/5

In my opinion, it's okay for the price. You set it on a flat surface to make the flat surface background. If you want the complete view, you are going to need to place your eye right up close, and then your head may block the ambient light, so you might need a flashlight or good ambient lighting to help illuminate your subject. As a result, the focus is not adjustable and I have to wear glasses to use it (myopia). However, since it is always in focus, that is to be expected. In fact, the large lenses provide a wider field of view than most loupes. Details of the optical system It consists of two identical acrylics Coated) double-sided It has convex lenses with a diameter of 30mm and a depth of about 2mm. It is a good idea to use antireflective glass or (even better) coated achromats if you can get ones whose size fits. To remove the top, unscrew it a quarter turn You must untighten the clear bottom piece just an inch to remove the lenses, but unscrewing it half way does not change the distance between the lenses. The main problem I have with plastic lenses is that they tend to scuff when they are cleaned. Lenses made from glass are not subject to this problem.

There's a lot to like about 20 and LL - No
5/5

55, L- The 77) is part of Carson's With my decreasing eye sight, my need for something like this magnifier has grown. I need it to see the detail on coins and when I am doing electronics projects and viewing It does not matter where I wander in the house, there is always something that needs closer inspection. I own a couple of the Carson LumiLoupes, and I will definitely be buying more in the future. In terms of convenience, it isn't enough to keep them from being in drawers up and down the stairs for the sake of price. A good product at a great price, what's not to like? This magnification will allow you to examine coins in sufficient detail for you to determine if scratches are present on collectible coins or IDs are Over the years, I have kept many different loupes made by Bausch & Lomb, including many vintage ones This Carson LumiLoupe is right up there with any other similar products I own, though updated with the ability to focus to the distance of the clear, plastic ball cone that allows for extra light to enter the eyepiece on the viewing end.
