My boyfriend sat on the floor and explained that one part was quite tight, and he had to pound on it quite hard to get the holes to line up, but once they did, it was solid as a rock. I'm sure he thought he was going to break it, but it was just too tight, so he kept pounding until it finally gave way. It's not going anywhere any time soon.
The desk and chair are quite heavy, but it is an excellent desk. The desk and chair can be adjusted in height, and there are small hooks on each side for hanging a backpack or other items. This is a lovely desk. It was purchased for my 5-year-old grandson, but because of the numerous adjustments available, it would also be appropriate for a teen. It's a little difficult to put together at first, but once you do, it'll last for years. Most likely, the offspring of your child. ) Well done.
However, it is for my great granddaughter. She's in elementary school, but she's a tall young lady.

These desks impress me so much that I ordered three for our home school room. They're easy to adjust and will last a long time with our kids; they're also great for studying! I was able to put them all together without any problems; it took a little time and would have been easier with a drill for the top, but anyone can do it!.
I ordered two more after I finished putting it together. They have a lot of flexibility. I have a six-year-old, a twelve-year-old, and a thirteen-year-old who stands at 5'7" tall. Their desks have been customized to fit them perfectly. They're sturdy and of excellent quality. RECOMMENDED WITHOUT RESERVE!.
These are the best for this price point because they are sturdy and will last for years. Isn't it just a desk? In this case, no. I needed a desk that could accommodate my children for at least a year, was sturdy, and had plenty of storage space. This desk is ideal for all of these tasks. My husband (6'2") and I can both sit comfortably at their desk (I'm 5'8"), but my six and nine-year-olds can also sit comfortably with their feet on the floor. The desk isn't excessively tall or short, but it does have three different height settings (I believe there are three). ) and the interior space is comparable to that of a student's desk in class. I'd rather have a cubby. versus the raising desktop, which requires you to remove everything from your desk in order to raise the lid. br>br>The only thing we've had to do to protect the surface is purchase a mat for use with markers or permanent inks - I don't want scribbles on the desk (it's brand new!). ) and I'm not sure how effective it is at cleaning - I can't comment on how easy it is to remove black marker, etc. , but you can get a cheap plastic placemat for under a dollar somewhere and be good to go. br>br>It was well worth the money to transform our homeschooling environment into a classroom. Bags can be hung from two hooks on the sides of the desk, which are both convenient and improve the quality of the bags. The metal bar that runs between the two sides is one thing we're trying to figure out. When they're wearing pants with shoes and socks, it's not a problem, but if they're working there in shorts and bare feet, it can be quite painful. I figure he'll just stop kicking his legs out once he realizes he's always banging that bar. br>br>I did look for these for a long time before I found them - Every furniture store, children's store, and discount store has something, but these were by far the best quality for the price, and you can't get much cheaper unless you want a teeny set that the kids will outgrow in a year or two, or if you don't mind thin molded plastic. These are genuine school-related items. My husband and I can both sit comfortably at these style desks, as I previously stated.
old to use for his homework and laptop. It took about an hour to put everything together. Once you've put it together, it's quite sturdy. This isn't a flimsy piece of furniture. It is not swaying or leaning in any way. I like that the chair and the desk are both adjustable, so that as my son grows, the chair and/or desk can be adjusted as well. Because the chair's back isn't adjustable (it doesn't tilt at all), only the height can be changed. The seat is made of hard plastic with no padding or fabric, and the back is completely straight. (It's probably good for posture, but not so much for comfort. ) I doubt it'd be comfortable for long periods of time; on the plus side, I believe it'll wipe clean easily if food or drink spills. This set is very similar to school desks. Underneath the desk, there's a cubby. It's large enough to hold books, notebooks, pens, and other small items. This desk, I imagine, would be ideal for homeschooling or for homes/dorms with limited space where a small desk to do homework is required. I first looked on Amazon for computer desks and office chairs and couldn't find anything that met my needs and fit my budget. I believe it to be a good deal, and I am happy with my purchase.
It's well-made. Purchased as a Christmas present for my 4-year-old son. I like how the desk and chair heights can be adjusted. My husband and I can be held securely! On each side of the desk, there is a hook to hang backpacks, hats, and other items. My chair took a long time to arrive after my desk. This was not explained to me, and I initially mistook it for a desk that I had purchased. Do not become concerned. It simply arrives in a separate package. The top left corner of the desk top had dents in it, which was my only complaint. I didn't want to return it because it required assembly, and I wasn't about to disassemble it! (Not to mention that we put it together on Christmas Eve! ) I'm disappointed in the flaw, but my four-year-old hasn't noticed it at all! Don't hesitate to purchase this desk. If you need more chairs, I noticed that you can buy them separately. You could probably fit another chair on the other side of the desk if you wanted to. It might be useful for a parent to have a chair to sit in while helping with homework or simply watching what their child is doing.
I bought these a few weeks ago and was looking forward to using them to help my kids with their homework. I haven't finished putting it all together yet. I'd like to start by saying that I've put together a lot of furniture in the past; I'm not an expert by any means, but this isn't my first time. I finished everything except the final screwing of the top. The problem is that there are numerous small indentions in the desktop, making it difficult to determine where they should be aligned. I had to wait for my husband to finish the project because he has much stronger hand strength, and even then it's a two-person job holding it in place while the other attaches it. For two desks and chairs, the price was reasonable. The storage beneath the desk is ideal, and the height and stability are both excellent.
My desk was undamaged, but there were a few points where the desks were a little difficult to put together, such as the legs going into the bottom half of the legs. I managed to squeeze them in despite the tightness of the space. It is unquestionably durable. They can keep their computers in the opening, which I like. It was money well spent!.
