It was not possible for me to purchase all of that high criCUT stuff because it bore the name one. I ordered this because it does the same thing for less money and is easier to use. It's important not to get caught up with the name of your tool.
For the purpose it was not intended, I did not purchase it. It is important for my cutting mats to be flat so my media will not roll. Rather than being limited to a small area, it works well and provides a broader coverage.
The gel press that I was using it for worked well for what was needed. Nothing to worry about.

Does what it is supposed to do. When I place my vinyl on the Cricut mat, I use it. As of now, there has been no issue.
This is a product I use a lot for crafts and particularly on permanent vinyl used.
