chrome top looks great and is not bulky at all. I also enjoy how it looks so clean.
In any case, the lid is not heavy enough to have the post it notes pulling up. Stickies are damaged when the top part moves, and the top part causes the stickies to move. It is made of flimsy plastic that is thin and flimsy. There is nothing more sad than when the glue on the back of these reminders is stronger than the holder that holds.
In a nutshell In any case, I was pretty excited about this, but when it came I was rather It is very difficult to steady the dispenser at the top. Although I am not a fan of how it's set up, I think it is usually this way. I do like the fact that the top is a decent weight, but as you can see from the video, it is a little too unsteady for my taste. Again, I'm not sure if that's the correct way to do it, but that's not the way I do it.
The top part is solid metal (which shows EVERY fingerprint), it is heavy, it is made of solid metal, it appears on all angles As compared to the top, the bottom is lightweight and made from plastic. The bottom piece is situated in an odd manner, as if there is a "dome" which rubs up against it. As a result, the top is uneven and rocks back and forth. Attempting to pull a post-it out of the slot results in a back-and-forth experience. It works sometimes to pull out the post-it note while other times it doesn't. Another reviewer stated this as well. This has to be done manually if it does not you will have to take the top off to get one out. It is not uncommon for the next sheet to fail to feed (AND, It is necessary to take the top off and remove the one on your own). To do that, I just take the pack of post-it notes and tear them offline. I'm having to take the top off more than it feeds properly, so it's easier just to take the pack of post-its off.
I find this design to be so poor. When the notes are placed in the top, the note holder does not lock into place (it is not designed to do so). Due to this, the top wobbles when a note is being removed. The course consists of two parts The operation is carried out by hand. The dispenser doubles as a pencil sharpener and a desk organizer. Its only practical use is to make the desk look neater since it can be used with just one hand. The desk is not made more productive in this way.
This is an idiotic design. I was amazed at the stupidity of that 3M engineer who came up with this one. There is a slope at the bottom of the bag, so the stickers or the TOP do not lay flat. You cannot pull straight up the top without tearing the paper or damaging it since the notes rock from side to side. My last type was purchased over at Amazon and I was very happy with it as well. I was hoping to get another but I could not find it. The simple dispenser is pretty hard to screw up, but this one stinks. Don't buy it you'll regret it in five minutes just like I did. The 10 dollars are still 10 dollars, so I am returning.
Our computers all have these next to them. The sticky notes we use in our office are all over the place, and we can't find anything. This was bought for organization purposes and they are really good. These two do not interfere with any of the work and do not move an inch. Even so, I would like to see more colors available.
Perhaps a bit more weight would be better for the base. I like the solid, heavy top, but I am not too keen on the light base. A heavy top sometimes sits unevenly on the base and is not nicely aligned with the base. You may need to leave as many post it notes as you like in the pad (this will depend on how many are left).
