Questions & Answers

What is the maximum number of angles you can make? Which slope is the most challenging?

Because I don't have a protractor to measure the angles, I'll have to give you the information in inches. Here's how to do it: The laptop's front sits 1/2" above the tabletop in the flattest position, and the hinged side sits about 3" above the tabletop in the flattest position. There are four options, each of which raises the laptop's hinged side to a height of 5 inches in order. 5", 6. 25", 6. 5" and 6. 75". When I have a lot of typing to do, I find the lowest setting to be very useful. The higher settings are very useful when I'm just reading and surfing with my mouse.

What is the maximum size of a laptop that it will accommodate?

My laptop is 14 x 10 inches, so it should be able to accommodate any size. The laptop rests on the stand's two bottom tabs, which are usually not much higher than the lift-up portion. It's fantastic; it relieves the strain on my neck caused by constantly looking down. I hope this has been of assistance.

What are the overall dimensions and compartment depths of the unit? By reading the reviews, I'm getting a variety of sizes. ?

The number of units is six. 2 top compartments = 5"H, 21" D, 21" W, 5"H, 21" D, 21" W Lower compartment = 2, 5" H, 14" D, 9" W, 5" H, 14" D, 9" W 5" in height, 14" in width, and 18" in length. 25" W

Is the bottom platform perforated, allowing air to pass through? Is it necessary to use this on top of an amplifier, which necessitates venting on the bottom for the amplifier?

It does allow air to pass through, and I use it on a wooden platform. It functions admirably. The air continues to flow freely, and because the bottom is elevated, the Rolodex Laptop should be able to sit on the amplifier without difficulty.

For my iPad Mini, it's a great sturdy little stand
4/5

I needed a sturdy stand for my iPad Mini so that I could use it in portrait mode. without having to take the case out of the equation Moko Slim is what I have. When the Fit Cover Case for iPad Mini is folded back behind it, it adds a little bulk to my iPad Mini. While the iPad Mini is still in the Moko Slim-case, there is no problem fitting it in. Fit the Cover Case into the base, with the cover tucked behind it. The stand, which is made of metal, appears to be sturdy overall, but I wouldn't recommend pushing down on it with too much force because it will most likely bend. Overall, it appears to be durable enough for general use, which is exactly what I was looking for. It also raises the device's bottom to allow for the connection of a charging cable. br>br>The only drawback is that, while the main components of the stand can be folded flat and the stand is relatively light and small, the "shelf" portion that holds the device's bottom cannot be folded away, so it is always protruding. It is, however, quite accommodating, and it can support devices with cases up to three-dimensional in size. Total thickness is about a quarter of an inch. br>br>The stand, in my opinion, is best for mobile phones and small tablets (e. g. , iPads). iPhones, iPod Touches, and iPad Minis). While it isn't exactly flimsy, I don't believe it would be able to support the weight of larger tablets like the full-size iPad. Ipad mini is the same size as a standard Ipad mini. br>br>I've included photos of the stand holding my iPad Mini from both a front and side perspective. The Moko Slim-related book has a cover that you can see. When the Fit Cover Case is folded back behind the iPad Mini, it still fits perfectly into the stand, even with the charging cable inserted in the bottom for display.

You, as well as your napping cat, require one of these
5/5

I'm not sure why it took me so long to get one of these. It's extremely useful. My MacBook Pro is 17 inches and fits perfectly. It also includes a metal prop that allows you to almost stand the computer on its head: ), but I'm not going to use it. It works for me by propping the computer rack against the bottom, which raises the back of the computer almost 3" and slants it down from there. The computer will be able to get some fresh air, and the 3" prop will allow you to type comfortably. The only drawback is that the two metal props in front of the computer, which keep it from sliding off, are in the way when typing. This is very inconvenient, so I'm going to the hardware store to get some rubber to cover them because they need to be grippy and non-slippery. Right now, I'm covering them with a rolled-up napkin! Of course, the props are necessary to keep the computer from sliding off the table; however, I wish they were already covered. However, I would still purchase this because it is ideal for holding my laptop at an ideal angle. br>br>Another huge plus is that this Rolodex Laptop Stand has put an end to the standoff between Kittie and me. We fought every night because we both wanted to use the keyboard, me to type and her to prop her head for sleeping, never mind cap lock, turning up and/or down the brightness, tabbing for me, and so on. I usually won, but not always happily, because I'd have to keep my hand propped up against her head, which meant hunting/pecking when typing, or I'd have to keep turning her around, which she hated, and so on. So thank you, Rolodex, for lifting my laptop just high enough for her to abandon the keypad and rest her head against the stand. We're both happy because she still has her desk and I still have mine, but now I have two. She's happily napping next to me and the computer STAND, having been handed the keypad. Yipee!.

However, once I found an angle that I liked, I never changed it
4/5

I bought this laptop stand in June 2016, so this review is a little late. With regular use, it is still going strong. This is what I use with a 2013 MacBook Pro. It has a good range of tilt options, but once I found an angle I liked, I never changed it. The only thing that kept it from being a five-star rating was the fact that it was written in the third person. The bottom metal tabs that keep the Mac in place are too high, according to the star item. To keep my wrists from resting on the metal tabs while typing, I had to add some spacers (I used furniture slider stickers). It's no longer a big deal for me because I've been working this way for over two years, but it's worth mentioning because I'm sure newer laptops are even thinner than mine.

It is not something that I would recommend
3/5

This laptop stand is a bit of a letdown. It's fine. I would not purchase it again, and I would not recommend it to others. We'll probably keep it with a few tweaks, particularly to the area where you'd rest your wrists on the laptop. Why would a laptop designer make the two pieces that keep the laptop from sliding off way too high when most laptops today aren't particularly thick? You are unable to rest your wrists in any way. To lift up the laptop, we had to place two small pieces of foam in those areas, and while our wrists can now rest more comfortably on it, the laptop stand must be kept at a specific angle so it doesn't wobble. It's a pain, but it's a necessary evil. br>br>So far, the plus side is that you have a few height options to choose from to ensure that your laptop gets enough air.

The printer for the Rolodex is a bit dissatisfied
3/5

Nothing irritates me more than having to return scratched or damaged merchandise that was clearly sent out in that state. br>br>It seemed like this product was overpriced for what it was, but I needed it. I had a hard time finding anything else that would work with my heavy old inkjet printer on Amazon or any other online retailer. The interiors of the cubbies or shelves have yet to be completed. This leaves a hard to clean or dust surface, as well as a black powdery residue that is, of course, difficult to reach. br>br>A visible 3 is present in my product. The bottom shelf has a 5" scratch on the finished surface. This will be covered by whatever I put on that shelf, but I believe it is overpriced to arrive in such poor condition and accept it. On the very top surface's beveled edge, there is also a doing. It's not immediately noticeable, but I have high expectations when I pay more than $80 for something.
