Questions & Answers

Can I play games on this?

The surface of the keyboard is wide and sturdy (my wireless keyboard fits on it as well as a standard mouse pad). Despite being simple, it does not have ball bearings, so it does not "glide" as it comes This helps you keep it where you want it once it's in place because it stays put when placed. When moving the tray in or out, one has to lift the tray to ease some pressure or weight, and then it is relatively easy to move. Whether you are under- or over-qualified for a job Depending on the type of desk or table it is mounted under, the platform might not be able to withstand weight. This desk can hold up to a lot of weight if it is fastened to a real wood desk using good screws. As for the desk made from compressed fiber and OSB, the screws will not stand up to weight while When I type very fast, it also bounces a bit.

There have been complaints about the short screws in some reviews. Are you still having problems with it?

As of February 4, 2021, the problem is still present.

The screws are always causing issues for me to read about. Is there any way to hold the screws in place with threadlock or another method?

The idea of threadlock never crossed my mind. My tray would not have hit the floor tonight if that had been the case. It appears that I must have the screws prior to their modification.

Can you tell me the width of the wood tray from the top of the bracket to the top of the A drop height is also called a ?

My tray has just over 3 inches of clearance (it cannot be adjusted) from the top of the desk to the top of the tray. I relied on this measurement and I was surprised when it wasn't true. You must keep in mind (for sliding purposes) that the bracket at the back of the tray adds 3/4 inch to the height. For it to slide backwards, there needs to be an additional 5 inches clearance. To fully attach the brackets, you will also need at least 3 inches between the front of your desk or table and the lip under the table.

This is a great Below are a few measurements and information to help you get started
4/5

Those who have the Airlift 360 Clamp from Seville Classics are in for a treat. Specifically, on the underside This is the- The sliding keyboard tray is designed to slide under the desk. Although this is a solid product, you will need to know some basic information and measurements before placing an order. The product page includes a photo. Refer to the photo and then read the description below it. This is important Despite the fact that the screws for the tray/rail connection are very short (minus 1 star), the tray looks great. As a guide, these are the steps I use to ensure a comfortable fit The set includes 4 x Machine Screws M4 and 8 x Machine Screws M4-M8 A set of four flat washers with a diameter of 4 mm, zinc or steel. Without the washers, the screws are just a bit too long and will interfere with the tray slide. With the washers in and the screws tight, the tray slides seamlessly. Fasteners and washers can be found for a low price! You will save yourself a lot of trouble if you purchase them. I will tell you about the crazy measurements now. This is not an accurate measurement, so please understand! At your own risk, you should use these measurements. The desk space requirements are as follows

1) Standing space requirement- The outer edges of each clamp measure 37 inches from end to end. In order to clamp this across the desk, you will need at least 37 inches of space free. ** - There are two clamps on each side of the rubber protectors when they are on. A width of 25 inches, and a height of two inches. I'd say it's about 75" deep and a few inches wide. The thickness of this material is 125". It will save you about 1/8" wide on each of the clamp sides if the protectors aren't used (i. e. Throughout this section, all measurements will be taken with rubber protectors included. ** - There are two clamps on the outer edge of the table top, a total of 37" from one edge to the other. It requires at least 37" of clear desktop space and about 2" of space. To accommodate clamps on top of the desk, there must be 75" of clear space on the surface. 2) The underside of the desk must be accessible*- A rubber foot that is oval and about 2" x 3" is on the underside of the clamps. It is possible for them to ** - In order to get a good clamp on the underside of the desk, you will need at least 2" of clearance. It is important to be aware of the bars running underneath some desks toward the front. The Rail measurements are 3) - A total of 5 inches are needed between the top of the clamps and the bottom of the side sliding rails. It's measured from the top of the rails to the bottom of the tray, so this is the raised height of the product when it's firmly clamped to ** - It is 12 feet from front to back of the sliding rails, which are the most significant part of this system. The tray area measurement
4) The Tray depth
There is a 30 degree angle between the interiors of the sliding rails. The width of the window is 75 inches. There are 31 trays in the tray itself. The dimensions are 25 inches wide by 10 inches high. There is a 5" deep hole (actual depth is 11", but approximately This part of the document is slanted, making it At the bottom of the clamps, there is a 3mm clearance from the top of the tray to the bottom of the clamps. I have 375"*br- Based on the thickness of your desk, you will be able to use the vertical clearance between the top of your tray and the underside of your You will have to subtract the thickness of your desk from 3 in order to do this. To determine the actual vertical space on which to put your keyboard, use "375" as a guideline. ** - Keep in mind the width and thickness of the keyboard that can fit into the tray if you have support bars under your desk. In addition, too thick keyboards/pianos will rub against the bars and prevent the piano from closing properly. You're going to have a great time! Feel free to correct or clarify the above as you see fit! Just leave a comment below, and I will get back to you as soon as I can!.

It is the right size, but does have a few design problems
3/5

My first impression is that this tray is very large. In the description, dimensions are given exactly as they are. In the photo, you can see how the tray is precisely the same size as two full-size cup holders The mousepad is oversized and the keyboard is to the max. I think this tray has the potential to be a sleeper hit for gamers with some It is the durability of the product that is my biggest complaint. This tray is very well attached to its mounting rails and its desk clamps are very well made, but the clamps are very badly attached to the sliding rail that holds The clamps are attached to the rails only by four tiny screws, and one of those is shown in the second photo. One of these small screws has already come loose and fallen out of the clamp after just a few days of using the tray. From where the screw detached from the rail you can see some marks on it. It isn't that deep into the rail to begin with, at most it goes about 3/4 of the way in. When the tray started shifting rather than sliding smoothly on the third day of use, I noticed this. Rather than attaching rails to clamps from the bottom with some sort of metal brace, the rails clip to the clamps from the sides, meaning all the weight of the tray is being supported by these four tiny screws, one of which has been lost. The tray is so cute that it has me torn about keeping it. I love the size and general design of it, but I do not think it is going to last me for very long without requiring a lot of modifications that are more expensive than the tray itself. **Edit as follows I see that one side has come off completely. As some other reviewers have done before me, I'm going to order some longer screws to see how it works. I ordered four of each of the M4x8, M4x10, and M4x12 machine screws, since screws are cheap, but shipping is not. With the longer sizes, I have concerns that they will scrape the sliding rail and make it more difficult to move, so I will update this review once I know which size works best.

Edit You should use M4x8 screws if you're curious. By adding that extra 2mm, the tray is actually held in place when clamped. Additionally, there is just enough extra space so that you cannot fully slide the tray in and out unless both cups are at an exact, very tight fit. Is it possible to give the manufacturer some advice? The size should remain the same, but the mechanism should be redesigned. It would be better to have a solid piece of rails and clamps, and to have brackets on the sides of the rails (so that the tray is supported beneath the rails) for mounting It would be easy to change the design of this tray if it were still the only tray of this size on Amazon. If it were not, it would be easy to make it better.

It is fragile

Then, add this Even when I hold my hands in the proper position, the entire tray sags by half an inch on the left due to the weight of my arms/hands (not that I'm leaning on it). In this video, I am using a mouse that is to the left of the keyboard to type. I hope you can observe that I'm using little force.

Here are a few tips for installation
5/5

Follow the instructions but don't do it. Removed the two screws that held a tray onto the arm that holds the keyboard. The third point Once I measured the desk, I inserted the screw into each hole and screwed it into the wood. A very sturdy piece of equipment. 3.
Replace the two little screws in the keyboard arm and put it back on the track. The fifth point. By installing the 4 supplied screws, the keyboard shelf will be installed. 5. See 6. Make sure the wrist pad is installed. *Note * Note tray, from the bench to the desk, was a little wobbly but not from the installation to the bench. wobbly part of the keyboard was the arm itself. On the other hand, you need to loosen the handle under the keyboard tray on the right side of the keyboard area in order to adjust the keyboard tray to your comfort. You will be able to move the keyboard tray under the desk after you do that. My keyboard tray is very useful, and I am very happy with it.

Using a clamp- It was 31 on January A 5" model is a solid rock
5/5

My Autonomous desk is so much better with this accessory. This clamp is super easy to use This product is extremely sturdy and easy to install. This lowers my keyboard and allows me to sit comfortably while I type. Since my keyboard is closer to me, I can relax my shoulders and relax my posture Keeping the desktop clear is a very nice look. In its extended position, the keyboard tray locks securely into place. There's no doubt about it, spending $40 on my workspace was one of the best moves I could have made.
