Questions & Answers

The drawer looks fantastic, but is it necessary to flip my 100 pound computer desk upside down before installing ?

I don't think you need to flip your desk on its side. There are four screws at the bottom of the desk, one on each corner of the draw. If you attach it to the desk that way the drawer will not work. The entire installation takes about two minutes including opening the draw and placing it under the desk. Lie on your back under the desk, place the draw so that it is in position with one hand, and attach with your powered screw driver under your other hand. The game has a lot to offer. You will not get sucked in very deep, so you will not have to swim in it.

What kind of full extension ball bearing glides does it have?

Yes, it probably has a little more than two-thirds of an

On the underside of my desk, there is a lip. What is the surface like on which this was installed?

To shimmy (the underside of the desk) I used a piece of 3/8" plywood, which in my case was enough to allow the drawer to pass the lip of the edge.

How deep are all of the compartments? Is it 2 inches in depth? How does it work? What is it made from? What is plastic? What is metal?

There are two drawers, the front tray is one inch deep and the drawer is heavy duty plastic with a latch that can be closed. The drawers are built with heavy duty plastic, the front tray is one inch deep. Even if it is latched shut, the lid is very easy to open. A set of ball bearings on the rails makes it glide very smoothly, allowing it to open and close smoothly. The product was easy to install and seems like it should last a long time. It is a quality product from my perspective, so I would certainly buy it again.

I'm really enjoying this drawer, but I'd like to make a couple of changes to make it even better
5/5

The item I'm reviewing is excellent. This desk is simple and sturdy, and I expect that it will last me as long as I have it. Although I decided to make some changes to the installation, I ended up making a couple of corrections. My first mistake was I found after I had installed it, that some of the items I was going to store there were a little too tall, so I decided to lower the drawer to accommodate them. It shipped with screws that are 1 1/4 inches long (shown in the photo at right) and I replaced them with 1 1/4 inch #10 sheet metal screws (shown in the photo were probably around #8 in size, and 1 1/4 inch #8 screws would have worked fine, however my hardware store did not have them I am extremely happy with the installation, and feel like I haven't If that is part of your plan, then you should ensure there is enough room between your knees and the drawer. In addition, I noted that the soft-control buttons appeared on the r There is resistance to closing the drawer when it is one inch away from being fully closed because of the close feature of the slides. It is much easier and faster to open and close the drawer when I only close it entirely when the soft-sided part is part of the drawer As the resistance closes, it becomes harder to move. The front edge of the drawer, however, extended out from beneath the edge of the desk when the drawer was closed to this point. Thus, I reaffirm my previous statement Rather than mount the drawer in the same location as normal, I mounted it one inch back. In the closed position, the drawer is now invisible underneath the desktop. I can now open and close the drawer quickly. Last but not least, I have ordered this item but have not received it It appears to be a good choice for dividing up storage space in a drawer like this.

The quality of this product and its solid construction made it the perfect fit for my folding chair You can turn that table into a desk for your computer! A drawer was something I wanted to have in my fold-away desk Currently, I am working at a desk that is set up just for computers - You know, just for your pens and post-its I was concerned, however, about how I would attach it to the edge of my table as it has a 1" metal lip
5/5

In some reviews, users mentioned adding shims, though they did not specify what materials were used (a reviewer did suggest using wood, though). To make my drawer feel solid and stable, it had to be able to open and close smoothly. As a result, I went to the hardware store and picked up a 1" x 3" scrap for a mere 29 cents. In the next step, I used Gorilla Glue EPOXY to attach the wood to the fiberboard underneath my table and clamped it My next step was to mark and pre-drill the bracket holes in order to prevent splitting the wood, and then attach It is a lovely sight! What a great idea! What a joy it is to have such a lovely desk. “I know that the fold is the hardest part of the process” The drawer will block the legs of the table, but when they are folded down, the legs are about four inches from the table, so I may cover the table in stretch wrap if I move, or I may remove the drawer (just eight screws, four on each side) for transport. Please pass this along to someone else who might benefit from it. Furthermore, I have added the stand and href=" stand"/a to stretch my dollars With this new "desk," I will be able to position my monitor at just the right height, and I will be able to slide my keyboard to create more workspace when I need it.

I love the product, perfect for desks and tables that don't have any frame around the A great product I am considering purchasing several more as this is useful not just for a keyboard and pencils, but for storage in general
5/5

I am not sure how robust or strong the black tray is, but it is made of molded plastic and looks like it is quite hefty This is not flimsy at all. Drawer slides are (I believe) almost entirely ball bearing slides, very smooth and have locking 'detents', so that the drawers are held securely closed once installed.

The main compartment is deep (about 44mm/1. "), which is great for deep keyboards (and for other junk that often winds up in an underside It was extremely easy to fit (compared to other similar drawers I have installed) because the brackets can be attach to the slides and the drawer can be held firmly under the desk with one hand while the screws are put in (there was no measuring, and just one person was required). There is one thing you should keep in mind The drawer will be very close to the underside of the desk once it is installed (This is good, since you can lean back in the chair without damaging your knees. you also can't put tall objects in the tray, and you can't mount it to a desk that has a frame or structure around its underside.

You're on the right track
5/5

There is only one solid piece to the drawer. My first impressions after having it installed for a few days and constantly opening and closing it to fill it with the things I've had sitting around my office that just That's a great idea. Unlike other drawers I've seen, this drawer is all one piece, while others I've seen had the sides that attached and the bottom piece that slided into little grooves before the back or front cover was attached. Sometimes the bottom of those kinds pops out, although it is not always the case. Easy assembly.

It was easy to assemble. It is already installed with rails and everything. It is possible to attach the mounting brackets in no time at all, as they are just four small wings with one screw each. Once you have it arranged as you would like, you can mark your holes, screw it in, and turn the whole unit upside down. One of the features I have a love-hate relationship with is the bit of resistance it has when you open it for the first time. When you tilt the table/desk forward, the drawer won't fly open and spill all your stuff. It makes it a little difficult to open at first, but once you get used to it, it becomes much easier.
