At the very least, two clamps will be required. The lip has a depth of 5". Simply add a 0.25-inch-thick piece of wood. Extending the lip is 825mm thick and 2mm wide.
There is no way to lock the door. It does not, however, slide in without being pushed in, and it has not slid in unintentionally while typing.
The tray does not shake for me, but that could be due to my desk setup. When I sit in my chair, my screens do shake a little bit. Adjust the height of your desk to allow you to stand.
At the very least, you'll need two. If the clamp isn't long enough, it won't go all the way in.

EDIT: 8/30/2020 Due to the lip on my desk, I had to take out the piece that you turn up and tighten to the desk. Instead, the screw's head rests on the desk's underside bar. I can now use this keyboard tray because it has a nice, tight fit and excellent stability. It's a solid piece of equipment that serves me well. It's great that I bought it. Unfortunately, I have a lip beneath my lip, so mine will not attach properly. I've put it to the side and am trying to come up with a solution. It's very sturdy and a good size, and I'd like to have it on my desk. I've attached a photo of the corner of my desk in case anyone needs to see what I'm talking about or has any suggestions for making it work.
This is a substantial tray with a lot of weight to it. After several years of consistent use, an older, lighter-weight tray had come apart. I looked at every keyboard sliding tray here, and this was the only one that said it could clamp to a desk up to 2 1/2 inches thick. The majority claim to go up to 1 1/2 inches, which is insufficient for my thick desk. I also didn't want another tray that needed to be mounted with drilling. The Mount-br>The Mount-br>The Mount-br>The Mount-br The supports are heavy gauge steel, and the tray itself is wood composite, so I recommend spending a little more and getting this sturdy keyboard tray.
Buy a different brand; I should have bought the Ergo Active keyboard; this keyboard does the job, but there is only about 4 inches of clearance when you slide it out, so a good portion of my keyboard is still under the desk when I use it. I use the F keys on top of the keyboard and have to slide the keyboard out or slide my fingers under the desk to use them, which is inconvenient after 8 hours of work (see image 2). I attempted to contact the seller to inquire about how to resolve the problem, but received no response. Look around for other sellers; you might be able to get a better deal.
This is a very sturdy product, in my opinion - Once you've built it, however, best of luck. To do so, I had to disassemble it three times. The main issue was that the directions/pictures were not clear. If it weren't for that, I'd give it a perfect score. The only other issue is that pushing the board in and out is more difficult than it appears in the video, but I'm hoping that some lubricant/WD40 will help with that *crossing fingers*. br>br>If you don't mind fiddling with the setup, it's probably worth the money.
There won't be enough clearance to close the drawer unless you're using an Apple keyboard and mouse (or something that's extremely flat). It couldn't close because both my ergonomic keyboard (Kinesis Advantage) and mouse (Evoluent) were too tall. br>br>However, if you don't mind not being able to close the drawer, this will suffice, and it is simple to install.
It's of excellent quality, extremely durable, and incredibly simple to install on my IKEA desk top. NOTE: The "27" in the title refers to the tray only. The clamps are not included in the price. br>br>My problem is that every time I pull the tray out, it slides a few inches into my desk, restricting mouse space. I can't change it with any adjustments I make. Because I need ergonomic equipment for arm and elbow pain, I try to keep the tray out of my way subconsciously, which makes my pain worse. (My arms and wrists should be relaxed in this position. ) ) I'd return it if it wasn't beyond the return policy /: I wish the tray came with a stopper to keep it from rolling away.
The assembly of this tray was ridiculously difficult. The directions are a disaster. To comprehend the construction, you must look at the pictures on Amazon. So far, so good once it's all put together. If I had known how difficult it was to put together, I'm not sure I would have bought it.
It broke after only about 90 days of use. The manufacturer has yet to respond to my inquiry. After they respond, I will update this review. The wooden platform was broken by the screws. br>br> That must not be the case. Since the installation, I haven't changed the tray. This wasn't supposed to happen in the first place. **Update. br>br> The seller was extremely responsive, and I received confirmation that a replacement had been shipped within 24 hours.
