A table/desk I made from Ikea is my "homemade" desk. Its solid wood top (Gerton) and adjustable metal legs make it a great table. In the end, what it lacked completely was an ergonomic solution for my keyboard. This 3M tray filled that need. It screwed into the wooden underside of the desk with ease, and mounting took about 15 minutes. It should be noted, as others have said, that I moved the unit back about 3 inches from the underside of the desk. It measures 5 inches tall. As a result, I could tuck the tray all the way under my desk when not in use, and I would still have room to pull it out when I was typing. The keyboard is very steady, making it easy to type or move the mouse. it is so adjustable (tilt, side-to-side 3) My desk has finally become ergonomic, thanks to the side swing and the height. It is also great to have a gel pad. I thank you for reducing my shoulder pain, neck pain, wrist pain, and productivity.
