It's used for "chits" at bars. Their previous one had become detached from its foundation. For a week, management failed to replace it, and the chits began to pile up next to where I normally sit. As a result, I went out and bought a new nail for them. In fact, there are two of them, both of which are of exceptional value. It does exactly what it says.
