A solid six out of ten! I admire the quality of this It was necessary to have one in meetings with me. The following is a big point to keep in mind As shown in the photographs, it appears as if the hammer slides off the handle after the gavel falls apart. A hammer screws onto the handle and is very secure! This is not how the product is built! The hammer screws onto the handle and is very secure! In the past, I have thought the handle would have to be glued on for regular use, but to my delight I found the handle was already attached. My briefcase fits it perfectly in a small bag so I know I can carry it with me while meeting.

As an accessory for my Notorious RBG Halloween costume, this was perfect. We used the mallet as a judges mallet, a karaoke mic, and a hammer for the duration of the night. Other people are sure to have participated as well. The gavel is not as big as you see in TV shows, and it is definitely smaller than you see on the screen. In any case, I found it to be perfect for what I was looking for!.

It will be used for Halloween as part of a RBG costume at the end of the month by my daughter. I'm happy to report that her little brother has been using it as a hammer for a few weeks now, and it's held up just fine. If it can withstand 5 year-old trying to smash things, it's worth the money!.
