I can't say for sure, but I don't see why it shouldn't be possible. Given some of the laminated and smudge-free school projects my children have brought home, I'm guessing they'd be fine to laminate.
When I bought them, I thought they were a good deal compared to Melissa and Doug equals. If the price is too high for you, don't buy them; Amazon prices fluctuate depending on the time and seller.
I used it for a children's birthday party, but I believe it would work well for any occasion.

Everything you need for 36 individual bookmark gifts, including the bag and tie, was included in this kit. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this purchase. My only quibble is that filling the bags took a long time. I'd gladly pay a little more to have it pre-packaged for 36 people. I still give these bookmarks five stars and strongly suggest them. My granddaughter made a couple from the scraps we had, and they were of good quality and turned out beautifully. It was a lot of fun for her to make them.
Students must earn points in order to buy items in an auction, and they work very hard to earn enough points to buy a variety of items. I like these in particular because I believe they encourage reading because a cute bookmark encourages you to read your book more. LOL.
After that, I hung them all up. This was a big hit with my middle school students!.
We bought these for my daughter's fourth-grade class as Valentine's Day gifts. They were a nice change of pace from candy. She wrote the to/from on the white side of the bag, which showed through, because they each had their own clear plastic gift bag that was transparent. Perfect!.
These were a hit with the kids as a party favor. You'll have to explain how they work to some people, as well as the fact that they're made from scratch. However, the kids seem to understand and enjoy the art bookmarks.
My third-grade students received these as part of their end-of-year gift packs. They had so much fun creating their own designs that they couldn't wait to use them as bookmarks. Gifts that are perfect for gift bags!.
These were purchased for my daughter's class because they are no longer able to eat treats because of allergies. She claimed that the children were enthralled by them and preferred to make them rather than play games with them. The leftovers will be used as Christmas gifts for family members. They come with a ribbon and a small plastic bag, so they're ideal for personalized gifts or gift tags.
