What should I do if I want to put a normal sheet of paper only on the front of the binder or do I have to fold the paper around the edge?

This is not necessarily the case, you can align the paper in any way you like. For a letter, you will put the entire front of the paper. Nevertheless, you will need to check the Quickfit site, where you can create a cover and include a side title (like a template). You will have to design your own front cover if you do not want to use the side title.

I had to buy a binder for my daughter for It was my choice not to fight back - Instead, he ordered it from Amazon so as not to disturb the school crowds. The decision was a good one for me. Despite its 2" height, this binder is actually three inches wide

The binder seems like it would fit the bill perfectly as a desk supply. In any case, when a binder is labeled and sold as 2 inch, it should not in fact be 3 inch. In some ways, choosing the 2 inch option defeats the purpose.
