The other sizes will probably fit better than the smaller ones since these are made to hold comics of modern times, and it fits so close nonetheless. Certainly older comics were often larger, and I know BCW makes bags and boards for comics from the Golden and Silver ages.

The printing is on the boards, isn't it? Is their surface plain or do they have a pattern?

I am looking for double issue comic books for storage bags, 1980's to early 1990's. How would you suggest?

A silver board and bags would be a great choice. You might have a little bit of board showing, although the fit will be snug and your books will not be damaged

Selected User Reviews For 100 BCW Current Comic Book Bags and Boards

It accomplishes the purpose for which it was advertised
5/5

These are the size requirements for CURRENT When I read the product description, I learned there was a concern about the bag size. In their reviews, some people noted issues such as inconsistent sizing or too tight sizing to fit "annuals," as well as how they were not equipped with adhesive sealing. The first two features didn't affect me the way this third feature did. These comic books are sized to fit the current dimensions of comic books printed today, as suggested by the product name. I had no trouble fitting any of mine. Listed below is a summary of the problems with the product. Please note, the product does not advertise that it includes sealant, so if you need it do not buy the product. This is a simplistic concept.

You can find a description of it here
5/5

It was exactly what was described in the product description. As far as I can tell, they fit all standard-sized comics with no problems. Is there a possibility they will fit large comics or multiple comics Would you like to publish a book? Unfortunately, no, but that's against the rules. I am snug and secure in the suit. Store issues that come out of plastic from time to time somewhere else if that's what you're looking for. It isn't difficult to shove a board and a comic into the sleeve, but it is not easy for them to slide in and out. Obviously these are meant to be stored for a longer period of time. Their closures seem to be good and they're (supposedly) acid-free. As well as organizing old photographs, I've found that they are useful. It doesn't matter how long the boards or sleeves are stored, they do not adhere to the photos. Having only had them for a few months, I might update this if I find it to be false after a couple years in a filing cabinet. I would order from you again at this time. In addition, they came in a separate cardboard box that was well-packaged. That means that I don't have a stack of empty sleeves and boards to put.

There is too much tightness in the bags
3/5

There are probably many people with this There is a problem with the bags, or the bags are inconsistent in size. The last 100 BCW current bags and boards I bought seemed tight, but I used them anyway. There is no use for them. A few years ago, I had some leftover BCW current bags with no boards (go figure) and tried them out with a few of the boards from this order and they worked well. I could stuff a big fat annual in there without any problems. There was no doubt about the size of the new bags. Besides being cheap and easy to return, they are also easy to exchange. In any case, I'm going to try a different brand. I think I may also return to my old routine of buying bags one size larger than my books from now on.

I recommend these boards and bags because they are great value for the price
5/5

The bags and boards are great buys for the price they are offered. At almost $16 (at the time of this review) with free Prime shipping, 100 bags and boards are relatively cheap? I'd like to join! Due to the fact that we have two moderate comic book collectors in the family, buying in small batches isn't very efficient, and I end up spending near $40 at my local comic book shop for the same amount of bags/boards (on top of all the comic books *poker*poker*poker*poker*poker*poker They did well on the job in general. While the bags' construction is decent (though the plastic does have a "cheap" feel to it), you can tell that some have manufacturing defects as some of them fit the boards smoothly while others require a bit more force to secure the board. Some of the boards also had an edge that curved or bent, so it was kind of awkward to use them, but they were still usable. In light of some people complaining they were shorted bags/boards, I went ahead and manually counted each, and I was thankfully not shorted anything. The purchase has so far been without regret, and I am willing to buy them again even with all the small quibbles.

I think it is a waste of time and money to buy a useless product from this We have been providing quality products for over 60 years, and BCW is a reliable company with a long history of quality
3/5

Normally I use their Silver Age products for all my comic books, but I had to settle for these when I was in a bind. As it does nothing to protect modern comics, there is absolutely no reason for this product to exist! A bag and backing board combo is intended to protect a comic book from weather and structural damage. There are 6 panels in a modern comic There are only six boards per package, and one of them is only 5/8" wide Those are only 3/4 in wide, which is just 1/8 in thick. A replica of Amazinh Spider is displayed in the first photograph In one of those bags and boards, the man was released on March 9th, 2021. Neither the backing board nor any of the comic can be seen. A 7" wide backing board is placed behind Wildcats #1 in a 7" x 7" frame Is sold as a single bag of 1/4 BCW Silver Age 2 MIL. Observe that a 7" wide board does provide se protection, which would be much better suited to actually protecting a modern comic book. If you want to use boards less than 7" wide, you will not get a good result.

THE BOARDS ARE THE BEST How do I get my BAG? For many many years, I have used BCW "acid free" board and it has never failed to satisfy me
5/5

I love it! They are the perfect size for the bags. As a past user of U-Boat, I used to use it There are many bags on the market that announce that they are acid-free. The package of BCW bags does not say anything like that. I will not dock them a star, but I am going to go back to the I'm for it. I'm not sure I have ever seen a bag of BCW boards that wasn't perfectly formed. In this case, you would do 5 A comic a week is perfect. I will be re-editing them in the near future Bagging and boarding my collection, and have been doing so for the past three years As soon as I ran out of boards and bags, I paid 500 a night. A "perfect" sizing of the board to the bag prevents me from inserting the board in the middle of the comic, AND makes bagging thicker comics a challenge. The extra couple seconds of time it takes to fold in the flap is also due to such perfection We can do 10 comics a week, this is no I had a headache after putting in the extra effort for this first bag/board. Even if the boards were a millimeter shorter in length and width, and no changes were made to the bag size, I would be on board like Yogi for a.

It would be better if I looked somewhere else
3/5

It seems that the products work very well nonetheless, but I was worried about the packaging as the bag was taped together. Some of the bags became unusable because those taped were stuck to them. was not expecting a damaged product from the warehouse nor did I approve that I would receive a secondhand item. It seemed a bit shady, especially since I paid full price and had to sacrifice a lot of my purchase.
