We ordered these for our kitchen, but they didn't look anything like the pictures when they arrived. There's a lot more "antique" paint this time around. What exactly am I referring to when I say "antique paint"? So they literally PAINT gold on the stools to make it look distressed and antiqued. It's not only possible to feel the raised paint, but it's also far more than photographed, with very distinct brush strokes. Also, the seats weren’t sealed and 100% someone’s going to get a splinter is’s going to get a splinter is’s going to get a splinter is% But here's the thing: this is our second order of these. The first set was sent to my brother, who loved it and has had no problems with it; we just got a bad set. So, after one glance at ours, we promptly re-boxed them and scheduled UPS pickup for the following day. For the same price as these 2, we ordered (and received) a better set from Wayfair that was true to its photos and included four stools. I despise leaving negative reviews, but we had to pay for return shipping because we needed to pick up something. When I have four small children, some of whom are at high risk, I am not going into a UPS during a pandemic. No way. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> The stools were picked up by UPS, and the seller issued a refund shortly after. ***It is not allowing me to upload photos, otherwise I would attach them; if this changes, I will update my review accordingly.

Because I am disabled and cannot stand for long periods of time, I needed a sturdy stool in the kitchen to do dishes. br>br>These look nice, comfortable to sit on (it's a wood topped seat, so as comfortable as that, lol), well built, and easy to store in my smallish kitchen. I am extremely happy with my purchase. I only needed one, but I have another for when I need it.

"Antique Black" appears to imply "black with gold splatters. " * It appears to me to be sloppy. As if someone swatted the stool at random with a dry brush. This isn't "antique," it's simply unattractive; I didn't notice the gold swipes in the photo descriptions, so hopefully this clarifies things. I don't want to go back at this point, so I'll just spray paint them black later to get rid of this so-called blemish. The effect is referred to as "antique. ".

The tops are sanded and refinished by me. I used a color wash on these and then re-painted them. It is waterproof and can be used both inside and outside. As is, the tops are a little rough. Perhaps the seals aren't as tight as they should be. Nonetheless, they're ideal for a simple DIY project to personalize them. At a very reasonable price, it is completely sturdy and durable.

It had a small ding that was barely noticeable when I received it. The wood has a slight roughness to it. Pantyhose, on the other hand, would almost certainly snag. It was an off-white stool, and I'll have to refinish the wood top because the colors didn't quite match.

Scratches and dents are common. I should have paid attention to the other comments, but I was too busy to do so. One of the seats appears to be a return; the bottoms of the legs are even worn.

Will last for a long time. Stools that are well-made and sturdy. There were no issues. I would strongly suggest it. 💯.

These are practical, well-made, come fully assembled, and can withstand the abuse of children, teenagers, and adults, and the price is unbeatable. My stools are 100% satisfactory to me.
