It's not oak veneer, and it's a lot darker in person than it appears in the photo. Update 04/24/2019br>br>Despite the simulated wood grain pieces having a darker color finish than shown in the photo, I decided to keep this table. br>br>With reasonably good instructions, it was simple to assemble. Because the screws and bolts were long and would take a long time to screw in manually with the provided screw driver, I used my own powered screw driver to install them. br>br>Compared to a similar table I had previously, the assembled product feels more sturdy and less wobbly. How long it lasts will be determined by time. br>br>Note that the wheels are smaller in diameter than the previous similar table I had, so they don't roll as smoothly over carpet or transition as smoothly from hard flooring to carpet or area rugs; however, because this table isn't particularly heavy, I can easily lift it to move it short distances over carpet and area rugs. br>br>Original Review: br>br>The "oak" pieces are made of particle board or MDF that has been covered in wood grain vinyl contact paper. At this price point, I'm not surprised, but the surface material should be mentioned more explicitly in the description. br>br>If it weren't for the fact that the "wood" color is much darker than in the photo, and looks more like walnut than the light oak pictured, I'd be fine with the low-cost vinyl surface. I've ordered thousands of items from Amazon since 1997, and I've never had an item from Amazon where the color was so different from the photo as viewed on my monitor, so I don't believe it's a monitor issue. br>br>I haven't put the item together yet because I'm debating whether to pack it up and return it or save myself the trouble and keep it. As a result, I can't comment on the ease of assembly or the stability of the assembled table just yet.

This is a fantastic table. I'm an artist who finds sitting in an office chair to be unsettling. It's the ideal way to sit in an armchair or couch while still having access to a desk. It's also on wheels, which makes it simple to move once you've gotten up. Assembly was simple, but I recommend using a different screw driver because the one that came with it doesn't work well with the screws, which are just a smidge too small to get a good grip on. On top of the particle board, the table's surface appears to have a plastic-like texture, making cleanup a breeze. Sturdy and powerful. Along with the rest of my supplies, I have a 15-pound cat who sits there.

One of the wheels does not roll on one side; it is flimsy and easily breaks apart, but it does the job. Additionally, the edges are unusually sharp, which is quite unpleasant.

I primarily use it for art and crafts, and it can be adjusted to almost any sitting position in any room. I'd recommend it! Thank you for a great product that was well worth the money!.

This is the second time I've bought a similar desk/table. It's ideal for the office, but it can also be used as a bedside table or a TV tray in a chair. It can hold a lot of weight while remaining stable. Although more color options would be nice, it works well in my living room. When I work at home, I use it.

This table lasted less than a month. After a month of use, it was completely worn out. It's the cheapest piece of shite on the market. Manevur is very difficult. I'm also not a fan of the table's construction material.
