Despite the fact that the majority of the reviews were positive, I believe I received a defective shelf. This unit consists of two sides and six support bars that are connected at each end by a bolt. Then there are three press wood shelves, each with six screws in the bottom for a small bolt to fit through a washer welded to each support bar. The issue is that when you line up one side of a shelf for the bolts to secure the shelf to the support to keep it in place, the other three bolts on the other end of the shelf are nowhere near lining up with the washer for the screws on that side, resulting in you being able to secure only one side of each shelf to the support bar. I tried angling the bolt from the other side to start the threads and pull the shelf closer, but the angle only allowed the screw to go in so far, and when I reversed the bolt, the screw came out of the pressed wood. Fortunately, the press wood shelves are heavy, and despite the fact that each shelf is held in place by six screws, three screws plus gravity appear to be sufficient to keep the shelf in place. For the price (over $125), I think it's a good deal. 00) and all of the positive feedback, I had high hopes for a shelf of much higher quality than the one I received!.

I chose "driftwood" for the 60" shelf. It has a nice grey/brown color to it. I needed a sturdy TV stand with storage space for the end of the bed. This shelf unit appealed to me because it is finished all the way around, unlike most entertainment centers, and it appeared to be very sturdy, as opposed to cube storage or thin console tables. br>br>Given the other reviews, I was pleased to find that my box had no holes and appeared to be in good condition. The only issue I noticed was that one of the side flaps was partially open, but not enough to cause any damage. I didn't notice the corner ding until it was all put together and set up. But it doesn't bother me; I'll just turn it around so the ding is on the other side! Aside from that minor issue, I'm very pleased with the unit. br>br>I have it on carpet and it is still very sturdy, so don't worry about that if you do the same. It easily supports a 55-inch television, and I have no doubts about its stability. br>br>The shelf measures 60 inches long, 25 inches tall, and 15 inches wide. It's 75" wide, with a 2" gap between the floor and the bottom shelf if you're putting it on carpet. Each shelf has about a ten-foot gap between them. 5" (plus or minus a couple of eighths). Bars and wood have a thickness of 0. 75”. br>br>I used storage baskets, which fit perfectly and look nice; however, standard 11-inch cube storage will not fit. You can use the measurements from that product to get an idea of what size to use. In terms of furniture, it was fairly simple to assemble. br>br> I was able to complete it on my own; the shelf components are a little heavy, but they're not impossible to assemble on your own if you follow the instructions (assemble on one side, then flip it when finished). There were no tools required, and they even provided a bag with additional screws. The only caution I would issue is to tighten it loosely at first, then double-check that the long bars are flush with the sides before tightening it completely. br>br>If you're on the fence about it, I'd say go for it.

This is a great little bookcase, it's very sturdy, and it's a good quality product that will last a long time. I got the black metal with slate grey shelves, and it looks great in my living room. It was purchased as a television stand for a 55" television, and it easily accommodates it with plenty of room to spare. I'm also using the bottom shelves to store stereo equipment that is fairly heavy, and the shelves haven't sagged or otherwise failed to support the load. It was simple to assemble, and none of the materials were damaged when it arrived, as some customers have complained about. It is something I would suggest - I'm not recommending it; in fact, I'm urging you to do so. A fantastic product at a fair price, and no, I was not paid in any way to write this review.

I needed a low bookcase with metal sides and wood inserts that was low but deep enough to hold my belongings, and this one fits the bill perfectly. It's big and heavy, but it gets the job done! (Yes, the wood is laminated, but I don't have any children or anything, so I'm not concerned! ) I like how the wood is inset into the metal frame, which means the edges won't be easily nicked.

Sturdy. The unit is simple to put together. This is a fantastic work! It looks great in my office, and it only took me about 20 minutes to put together. The structure is strong and well-made. The mdf wood is of excellent quality and weight. I would purchase this item again.
