It works. It’s. a shelving unit for books A bookcase with a very low price tag. It works. Everything will be fine. It's a bookcase's equivalent of fast food. In the back, it's made of laminated / veneered particle board and thin cardboard. No pre- drilled holes (which is the part I despise the most), so it takes two people to hold the pieces steady while the other uses all of their strength to screw the screws in. If you make a mistake, the board will split. br>Would I buy this again? No, I doubt it.
Once put together, it's also quite sturdy, and the wood is of good quality. br>br>The only issue I have is covering the screws. Different screw covers for the screws are included with the bookcases I own. This one, on the other hand, has non-sticky stickers. As a result, the screws have a tendency to protrude. It doesn't bother my boyfriend, but it does bother me.
Given the price, I didn't expect the bookshelf to be of high quality, but it is terrible and deserving of a 0 star rating. I'm used to putting toys and furniture together, and this was far more difficult. Despite my best efforts, many of the holes on the two side pieces were uneven and couldn't be lined up. As a result of my attempts to screw the pieces together, the very cheap material split in several places. It looks terrible, and, more importantly, it poses a safety hazard to my child, so it cannot be used in his room as intended. Given the hassle of returning it, I'll probably throw it out and take it as a lesson to pay more for better quality in the future.
It appears to be holding up well, and it appears to be identical to the photo. Assembly is simple; make sure to line up the pieces ahead of time and make sure they mirror each other or the result will be wonky (the holes on the top and bottom of the A pieces aren't the same distance from the edge; they have a secret top and bottom that isn't obvious until you put it together incorrectly).
Prices are continuing to rise, and the colors are changing. It's difficult to match bookcases purchased in sets of five. I found something very similar to what was available a few years ago with what is now available. I now have a lot of books lined up along one wall, as well as a "kitchen pantry" and a storage tin on one bookcase. When you're on disability in a federally-funded program, it's important to remember that you're not alone Because I live in an assisted apartment, storage is limited, and these bookcases come in handy.
It has a deep cherry-like hue to it. I was a little disappointed that the backing is cardboard rather than wood particle board, but since I'm storing books, it's not a big deal. The product is well-made and simple to put together. Overall, the grade is excellent.
It was very simple to put together this product. The only thing I would change about the unit is the back, which is just a piece of cardboard, but since it is up against a wall and out of sight, I suppose it doesn't matter. I am very pleased with this product; the price was reasonable, and the quality is superior to that of some I have seen in local big box stores.
The back is flimsy and broke the moment my toddler put his hand on it. I'm disappointed because the shelves are sliding. The video is of shockingly poor quality.
