If the item isn't available through Prime, you can ask for pilot holes by messaging the seller when you place your order.
This shelf is of good quality, but it can only hold a limited amount of weight on the top. When I first saw it, I thought it was too expensive.
Because mine didn't come with any hardware or pre-installed software, I had to figure out how to make I tried hanging the rack with Command brand frame hanging strips, but they fell apart after about 6 months and the rack crashed to the floor. I finally got two very long screws and screwed the medal rack into the wall after asking a friend to drill two holes in the rack. The medal rack is one of my favorites.
The two-foot display shelf is about two pounds in weight.

Now all I have to do is go out and buy the necessary components to hang it. You'll see what I'm talking about if you look at my photos.
This ought to be in the $15-$20 range. No more than $20. Very disappointing, and I'll have to write this off as a total loss due to the small size of these. I would have given it zero stars if that was an option because it will not hold anything of any size. My wife bought two of these for nearly $100, so it was a complete loss. BUYING IS A MISTAKE.
Based on previous customer reviews, I decided that ordering this shelf was worth a shot, especially since I couldn't find anything similar locally recently. However, now that I've received it, I agree that it's way overpriced for the quality of what I received. Some of the holes (where the dowels are inserted) aren't fully painted in, and there is a divet in the wood where it appears someone hit it with a hammer. You can also see glue marks all around the dowel rods. It stands out against a white shelf. I can fix all of these flaws, but I shouldn't have to for this price! This piece should be closer to $20 in price.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I have some race bling that isn't a medal, so it's wooden with a shelf on top. Those items will fit perfectly in the grooves. Although they came with hardware, I found them to be too long and skinny for me. The holes are 4 inches from the ends and 1 1/4 inch down from the top, and I used 1 inch round pan screws, which worked perfectly. Packaging was not an issue for me. The unit was undamaged, and the workmanship was excellent. I went with the walnut-colored version. a job well done You could make this for a lot less if you knew what you were doing and had the right tools, but for the price I paid-- I'm extremely pleased with myself.
This shelf appeals to me a lot - I bought a 2'x2'x2'x2'x2'x2'x2 , 3 ft. And 4 ft. I'm making a room for my daughter. Her trophies and plaques were a perfect match for her. I'd buy a few more if they weren't so expensive! The only problem was that the back of the 4 foot shelf was missing the mounting holes - I'm not sure if that was a misprint in my part's description or a flaw in the product itself.
When I first put the wall plug in, it broke. I was fortunate in that I had longer wall plugs and screws on hand. The shelf itself is adequate, but double-check that you require the "trenches" plaque. If you don't need them, you might have to cover them with something (like I did) to prevent your trophies from falling into them. For what you get, it's far too expensive. You can get a better product for a lot less money if you buy a painted shelf from the hardware store and add some plugs/dowels to it.
I don't write many reviews, and this may be the first one I've ever written on Amazon. I felt compelled to write this one, especially after reading all of the positive reviews for this product, which influenced my decision to buy it. The rack arrived quickly, thanks to Amazon Prime, which remains the gold standard for ordering and receiving items quickly. The rack, on the other hand, was a letdown. The craftsmanship is poor, and the product is not worth the price, as you can see in the photos; I can't believe the manufacturer would allow this product to leave the factory in such a state. Some of the pegs are loosely fitted into their holes, and the top shelf appears to be slightly separating from the bottom base. Just look at the photos I posted; you can see the white paint separating at the seam when comparing one side of the rack to the other. I was going to return the item, but my daughter was so excited to get a display rack that she begged me not to. As a result, I gave up and put the phone down. From afar, it doesn't appear to be bad at all; my only concern is that it lasts and doesn't fall apart too soon.
Because I have twin boys who both participate in track, I purchased two of these. They have a lot of ribbons and awards, so it's easy to keep track of them all. The only complaint I have is that it only comes with wood screws. It only comes with hardware for installing into wood studs, so I had to go out and buy screws and anchors to put it up on my wall.
