For a while, I was depressed and looked for ceiling-mounted shelves, but they were prohibitively expensive and didn't hang low enough from my ten-foot ceilings to be practical. I figured I'd give it a shot because it's 6 feet tall and only requires two screws at the top to keep it in place. My husband and I put it together right away when it arrived, and it was a breeze. I knew the two screws holding it to the wall would finally add some interest to that side of my kitchen the moment I stood it up on the counter and felt how sturdy it was. I included a couple of photos because, while it isn't advertised as being able to sit on top of a secured piece of furniture, it might inspire some DIYers. My suggestion is to cover a large table with a tablecloth and then balance it out by doing the top shelf first, then the bottom shelf. Also, use an electric screwdriver with a hex bit if possible. for the sake of God's love. Easy as pie! Putting together the instructions is incredibly simple and almost enjoyable. This one gives you a great deal of bang for your buck.

I originally purchased three of these for my den, and I've since ordered two more for other purposes. Overall, they're a great deal. The quality of the fit and finish is satisfactory. br>br>Here's a piece of advice for putting it all together: The support bars are made up of two pieces that must be bolted together in order to reach their full height. After that, only bolt one support arm to one side of the shelves. Place the unit on its side and the other support arm on top of it. Bolt the shelves on the opposing side. The problem is that the bolts connecting the two parts of the support bar prevent you from sliding the shelf down on its support arm, which is sandwiched between the two bolts. It should be slid in from the side rather than the top. So if you try to bolt the shelves on both sides, starting at the top and working your way down, you'll get stuck and have to undo the previous shelves. This appears to be the sequence in the instructions, but it isn't.

I bought two of the bookshelves and am very pleased with how they turned out. I don't believe I should have to accept chipped shelves or bent hardware for the money I paid. Five of the ten shelves have been chipped! Although my husband was able to repair the bent hardware, we are extremely dissatisfied with the damaged shelves. 😰.

It was installed in a large powder room that had a lot of wall space. It was the perfect size for the corner next to the door. It was simple to put together and has a heavy steel frame for added strength. br>br>I like how the shelves are pushed up against the wall, preventing anything from falling behind them. There is enough space beneath the bottom shelf for Roomba to clean underneath it. br>br>In order to increase storage, I plan to add baskets that fit snugly between the shelves. Each shelf (except the top one, which is only limited by the height of your ceiling) has enough room for 11 baskets. 5 inches tall, 12 inches wide, and 22 inches long. I need baskets that are 5 wide, so I'm looking for those. I'd like to use two across, so I'm only using half the width. I found some that are 11x11x11 on the internet and may use them unless someone has a better suggestion- If you do, please let us know in the comments! In the meantime, I've set up some smaller dark gray baskets. br>br>The only issue I had with this shelving unit was damage that appeared to be caused by shipping. The plastic insert at the base of one leg was broken into several pieces, and one shelf support was slightly bent. There was also a gouge in one of the shelves - However, because it was at the bottom, it could be used as the bottommost shelf, hidden from view. br>br>I dialed the company's toll-free number, which is listed on every page of well-illustrated and highly entertaining assembly instructions (written by a native English speaker)! ) and informed them of my problem. Melanie, who works in their "customer happiness" department, called me back a few hours later. She asked for photos of the damage, and I assumed she'd arrange for a replacement leg, but instead she emailed to tell me that a new shelving unit was on its way! She then sent me an email with the UPS tracking number. Then she sent another email, this time inquiring about the delivery and whether the replacement unit was working properly. br>br>That's the kind of customer service you only see once in a while but always appreciate.

When I first saw this piece, I was blown away by its quality and beautiful coloring. I was concerned that the metal would be too bright white to complement my more off-kilter style. It appears to be a white living room, but it isn't. The shelves are a lovely warm brown color, and the wood appears to be very real. The assembly is simple. Mine had a minor flaw in the laminate seam on the front of one of the shelves, but I simply covered it with a piece of cardboard to hide it. To put the last shelf on, I had to remove the middle screw on one side. Leveling it before attaching it to the wall is the most difficult part. In my photo, you can see that there is a significant sag in the floor under one side, despite the fact that the bottom shelf is only nine inches high. At a height of 5" from the ground. If you want to stack baskets one on top of the other, this is the way to do it. On a shelf, the distance between the poles is about 21 1/2 inches. I purchased a set of ten baskets. However, they do not fit side-by-side in a 5" cube. side. br>br>br>br>br>b I was so taken with it that I purchased a duplicate for our office. I've added new photos to the gallery. Because the floor in this room is perfectly level, installation was a breeze. It was incredibly simple to assemble and there were no flaws.
