Selected User Reviews For Scranton & Co 2 Drawer Steel Mobile File Cabinet in Pure White
The file cabinet met my needs at a reasonable price. It was a little tricky to assemble, but it was worth it for the price. All we had to secure were the back wheels, which had to be tucked under the cabinet. That caused a little bit of an inconvenience for one person, but ultimately it wasn't a big deal. This cabinet was finished very well and it had an ideal size for redweld file folders. There were enough folders for a significant number to fit in it. There are some problems, however. It isn't heavy, and the drawers tend to stick and need a firm pull to open, but those things were to be expected at this price. When the cabinet was assembled and filled, the plastic cover plate on one of the wheels broke off. As you can see, it did not just snap back on, so I will probably have to superglue it Somewhere along the way, you should glue it. Even though the cabinet still rolls smoothly, it is disappointing to find this minor issue with a brand new product.
There were no handles on the drawers or wheels on the cabinet, it was very easy to assemble all items were included as well as The file cabinet is ready to be used immediately.
There is minimal paperwork filed in the drawers and they are tipping to the side. Thin and weak is the metal used to build the cabinet. Getting the cabinet drawers to lock and close is challenging because they need to align perfectly, so you have to open and close them. When left unlocked, the drawer can topple if only one drawer is open, and there is no safety mechanism that permits only one drawer to be opened at a time. Additionally, when the drawer is opened on the right side, the rail in the bottom drawer is broken, which causes the drawer to tilt and fall. Once it becomes hard to close, it becomes very difficult. This was a purchase I made in September, and I already regret it. There is a great deal to be disappointed in. It's obvious what you get for the price you pay. The cabinet I should have purchased in the first place is now more expensive, so I'll have to pay the extra amount. Dissatisfied to a very high degree.
I found this to be not very well constructed when it arrived. In order for the wheels to be attached to the bottom, one of the pieces was missing In addition, the other screws were too big to fit in the hole in which the other wheels were meant to go. The quality of the goods is poor.
I love how crisp the white color is. I thank you for your help.
As far as I'm concerned it does just what I needed it to do, nothing fancy but good enough to secure my many documents. Consider buying the option that says "buy all three". It is an affordable option that adds the right folder sizes.
My mother received it after it was shipped. The fact that it came assembled, and that it had wheels, was appealing to us both. Hanging files for it were also ordered. A little white looks nice in her small apartment, rather than looking so industrial.
Having a decent lock and easy assembly, rolling smoothly on carpet, and a good quality finish, this is one of the best wheels on the market. In a locked office with security cameras, I use it to keep client files secure, so I'm not trying to lock Fort Knox, but confidential information stays safe.
