You can assemble it without the wheels, but you need to lock the wheels in place for using them without it moving. If assembled correctly, it will hold 70 lbs, you can also assemble it without the wheels.

This furniture was exciting to me, so I eagerly looked forward to receiving it. The disappointment was huge. It is a difficult task to follow the instruction manual because it is so poorly written. The process took more than 3 hours and yet we were not able to put it together little of the plastic fixtures were in good condition. Typically, this can be fixed by professionals without too much difficulty. It does not have ratings yet, so I cannot give one. The seller was very responsive. There is a nice design on this piece and it is sturdy. I found the instruction manual to be completely out of date. It was a bit confusing to know exactly what to do because of that. In spite of the instructions, I thought it was going to be 3 stars but it was actually pretty easy to put together. You may want to choose a different model if you don't have any experience building this type of furniture.
I think that this item is overpriced by There are no enough details and the instructions are confusing. To put it together, I had to figure out workarounds. We took many breaks and two days to nearly finish assembling it because it was so frustrating. A picture unfinished since I need yet another break to add two missing holes so that the door can be attached. That's right, there are no holes where the screws are supposed to go.
