This is a top-notch item. It was simple to follow the directions. There are a lot of parts to this project, and it will take some time to complete.
I was hesitant to order this because of the wide range of ratings and the lack of free returns, but I decided to take a chance. It's a good thing I did! The assembly was almost identical to something I bought from a blue and yellow big-box store. Earlier this year, I bought some from a big-box store, but the quality is likely to be lower. However, given that this is a $100 cabinet, I didn't expect it to last a lifetime. Everything was in the box, nothing was scratched or broken, and it took about 2 hours to put together; as you can see, I mostly just needed it for my printer, which it does flawlessly.
The quality and finish are excellent.
This is fantastic.
It took me two days to put it together, but it was fairly simple if you followed the instructions. It's well-made, with everything fitting together nicely. In addition, it is very durable. This is for my printer, which had been resting on an old plastic 3-foot table. The drawers shake and move when the printer is printing. This cabinet was rock solid and was designed specifically for printing in a quiet environment.
Here's a summary of what you'll find in the book. These were purchased for our office because the style matched some new desks we had recently purchased. br>br>The Goodbr>br>They look great and are relatively easy to put together if you follow the steps in the correct order (expect 1-2). I was expecting a lot of frustration when I received this stand after reading other reviews about assembly issues (and having assembled other tedious 'kit' furniture like this), but I was pleasantly surprised instead. It took me less than 2 hours to put it together, and I found the instructions to be clear, the holes to be where they should be, and there were no missing parts. Since they have some good cut-outs, it's possible they've updated the instructions. a way to draw attention to important steps br>br>Future assemblers should keep the following in mind: To avoid issues with drawers not closing properly, pay special attention to two things:
1. The cabinet rails are aligned with the correct screw holes. The metal rails have a lot of holes, and it's easy to use the incorrect ones.
2. Front-end alignment is correct. Parts 13 and 14 should be oriented backwards. If you do it backwards, I imagine the file drawer will protrude indefinitely, as I've seen in photos. br>br>My main complaint is the noxious styrofoam used for packing. (I left it open outside to prevent the evil stuff from attaching itself to everything inside. ).
The product has a readily identifiable defect that has been known for quite some time: the bottom drawer protrudes about 1. 5 inches. Others have made the same observation. Before making a large purchase, please review the product and do some research on the vendor. Best of luck!.
