It IS possible to refill these. The white area around the sponge tip is a kind of stopper that fits into the neck of the bottle. It isn't that apparent in the picture, but that white area is a kind of surround. By using pliers, I lightly gripped the stopper, turned the bottle backward and forwards about quarter inch, and then reattached it. By doing that, I was able to loosen the stopper sufficiently to pull it out easily. There is no thread on the bottle stopper, so it is important not to mangle it when you take it out, otherwise you will risk having the sealant leak when you turn the
It is true. The sealing agent is significantly more effective, however (at least for the envelopes I use) and you're much more likely to get too much coming out at once so the envelope gets wet.
Refilling the bottle is not possible, according to me.

Due to the fact that I was experiencing 2-weeks worth of suffering, I decided to try this This gel comes in three bottles - A type of envelope sealant should be used It was costly and there was a lot of waste. I preferred a more economical, environmentally responsible alternative. To be honest, I wasn't all that impressed at first. There was way too much product coming out of the bottle, and it seemed to be awkwardly balanced. Seeing as I was treating it like the gel sealant and squeezing the bottle, it formed a sort of plug. Once you have placed some product in the bottle tip, gently press the tip against the gummed area of the envelope, then slide it over the gummed area. Sealant flows through the bottle because of the weight of the contents and the bottle itself. I would give this product a 5/5 value for money rating My first bottle lasted me nearly six months. If I hadn't wasted so much at the beginning, it probably would have lasted longer. About 3600 envelopes can be sealed with this product, according to the description. The number of seals I sealed is around Four out of five adhesion tests If the weather is humid, it seems to be less effective. There may be something going on with the adhesive on the envelope, so it may not be the humidity making the adhesive more tacky, but the sponge skips over the envelope rather than glides over it smoothly. In order to fix this, you need to apply more product to the sponge, but not so much that it runs everywhere. You must try and fail a few times to get the right answer. Easy to use with a rating of 4/5 If they'd put a warning to not squeeze on the bottle, or at least in the product description, that would have been great. It seems like an easy mistake to make, but I made it, of course. . . . Easiest way to get the job done Fill the bottle with water again and again! A plastic stopper secures the sponge tip inside the container. This stopper/sponge is made of one piece, so you will want to grip it by the To turn the bottle back and forth, I grabbed the bottle tightly with pliers and made sure to grip the stopper very gently (damage the stopper and it will leak). Basically, I loosened the stopper enough to be able to remove it by hand. As you can see in the picture, the applicator sponge thins over time. I believe mine may have worn down quicker than usual since I was treating it like gel sealant at the beginning. It's best not to fill the bottle all the way up when you're refilling it, otherwise you'll get sealant all over your hand and work surface when you click the stopper back over the top.
I use it for crafts as well as mailing.
A friend, who processes a lot of mail, absolutely loves this product. We have been using it for years and it really does work great and lasts a long time.
