They don't expand, so I'd say a dozen photos will fit in a single envelope. We bought these as pencil bags for the kids at school.
They work well for me as a pencil case.
I honestly don't know if they're water resistant. They were simple to open and close, and they were a good value for the money.
No, they're made on the cheap.

I bought these for my students for the upcoming school year because, with everything going on, I wanted to give each student their own supply pouch. These are extremely thin, and I'm worried that after a week, I'll be kicking myself for buying three bundles of them. I've already noticed that they don't hold as much as I expected and that if I put more than a few items in them, they won't hold. When I first opened it, one of the zippers had already snapped. All I ask is that they hold four pencils, three eraser tops, index cards, and a personal pencil sharpener. They are insufficient in size.
This was purchased to organize photos, bills, and other items, and it has proven to be very effective. It comes in a 24-piece set (ranging from $2 to $5). There are four of each color. When I went to my local Target and Walmart, I discovered that I could only get a pack of six. 8 for the price I paid. br>br>They appear to be in good working order. The plastic appears to be sturdy, and the zippers appear to be in good working order. I'd strongly advise other shoppers to do the same. I got them for a good price, and they work great.
This year, I bought these for my students because they each require their own supplies. At first, it appeared that they would get along swimmingly. They don't hold a lot of stuff, and the more you use them, the more they fall apart; the slider comes off easily, and after a few uses, you can't close them. I should have just gone with my gut and bought pencil boxes because they don't last, and I'm still buying them now.
These are excellent bags at a reasonable price. The zipper tops are easy to open and close, and the clear plastic allows you to see what's inside; there's also a small pocket on one side where I put labels. I'm using them to organize chipboard pieces for scrapbooking and journaling, and they're making it a lot easier to find what I'm looking for.
EDIT: br>These envelopes were put to excellent use by me. They weren't strong enough for their original purpose, but they're perfect for keeping track of my card-making cutting dies. I'm trying to figure out if I can still use these because they didn't work for the purpose I had in mind. It appears that using a ziplock baggie is more effective.
We run a company and deposit money into the bank on a daily basis. If I have multiple deposits to make, I use these bags to separate them. It is greatly appreciated by the bank. I've slid a few of the zipper closures off; getting them back on properly takes a little patience, but it's doable. I frequently find other uses for these small bags, such as keeping track of receipts while on a business trip or storing registration and insurance in the glove box of my vehicles. These are bags that I would recommend!.
Granted, they aren't cheap, but I've had these for about a week and use them to keep track of my money (cash envelopes). I was hoping they'd last, but I've already lost four. The bags' bottoms come undone, and in the end, they're not worth the money.
When we got back from the shutdown, I needed to personalize my preschoolers' classroom supplies. These are incredibly beneficial. One pouch can hold up to ten thick markers. The kids had no trouble opening or closing the door, though I did sit down and pre-open it. I was able to type their names and add a picture to the little cut out pocket by teaching this to them first.
