My printer is an ink jet, so I set up my address in word and it printed fine.
Weight is an important factor in determining the volume.
It just so happens that I measured my own envelopes that I ordered a few months ago (the same ones I bought from Amazon), and the OUTSIDE dimensions are exactly 5 15/16ths inches high and 6 inches wide. You would not be able to put my cards in my envelopes if your cards were exactly 6x9 in size.

The envelopes are perfect. I am very happy with them. A sheet of paper that measured 8 1/2 x 11 folded in half makes a birthday card that fits perfectly into this 6 1/2 x 9 Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of it in the envelope, but it was a perfect fit with only a tiny bit of extra room at the During the holiday season, I decided to insert two gift cards and earrings attached to a card, with an envelope for the extras.
Our 6x9 envelopes are used when we need to send 5x7 prints or a lengthy letter that will be easier to handle when it has been folded only once. We have used many envelopes over the years, but these kind are the nicest, because they are whiter, heavier (though not too heavy to affect postage amounts substantially) and include a peel-off label This is an off stick tab that is easy to use and works well. After trying them, I now plan on ordering more. I only ordered 50 for the first time, but I'll order more soon now.
This product is perfect for wrapping greeting cards that are made by me. They add value to the cards by adding weight and thickness. The adhesive strip is also convenient for closing the card, as opposed to having to lick it.
I think these are fantastic! Along with the paper I also purchased from Amazon, I use these envelopes with my Hallmark card-making software and I prefer them to those that come with it. My favorite thing about them is that they are as good as or even better than the originals, and I don't even have to lick the flaps to cut them. they are a bit more expensive than the ones you have to lick, but I believe they are well worth their price. I will re-order them when I run out of the regular ones.

A few days ago I was in need of envelopes so I could send my family the Blue Mountain greeting cards that I had printed. There is no standard envelope available for the larger cards. This is exactly what I was looking for. I admire them very much.
Making cards at home has never been easier with these envelopes. Within a folded card, there is plenty of space.
The 6X9 envelopes I received from MailingEnvelopes. com are excellent. There are 6x9 inches and they are of excellent quality, as the paper and adhesive are both very good. The next time I need to place an order, I will. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
