The thickness of the envelope is "how thick is this one?"? I would like to use this to hold confidential documents. Can it be seen through?

I don't think anyone would be able to see through them since they're fairly thick.

Do I have to use a laser printer for this?

The printouts should be fine, but I would be careful if your printer is not new. Test one or two and see if you like them
