The replacement UV lamp can be ordered on Amazon. I did so. If you are not sure what lamp to buy, consult your manual.

Despite installing the bulb, I cannot actually spot how well it is working because I cannot see its light. What is normal about this?

The original bulb is still working, so I have not used the replacement light yet, but can assure you that the light should be visible as a very deep blue hue. In the event it does not light up, there may be a problem with the lamp or the circuitry of Especially if the old lamp was easily seen before it went out, I would definitely check out the new one.
