I don't think you should do that, I cleaned the original overhead projector filter with no luck and it literally dissolved

As a result of the high heat that the bulb emits, the thin foam layer on the filter rotted. The filter I bought was urgently needed, so I paid a price that I believe to be too high. We live in a world filled with challenges and adversity. Since the thin foam was what needed to be replaced (as well as the plastic frame), I thought I might be able to locate some thin foam. Even though I spent a considerable amount of money on it, I am not sure if I received adequate value for my investment.
