Questions & Answers
The following paper sizes are supported by the LT330CL: Letter, Legal, Executive, A4, A5, A6, and Folio are some of the different types of documents that can be printed.
Yes, you must first set up the printer or paper tray.
If the paper size in each tray is different, the machine will automatically select from a variety of trays. If checks are in tray 2 and letter size paper is in tray 1, the machine will not auto select, so the process will have to be done manually. In addition, we recommend printing checks from the manual tray rather than the standard paper tray.
For legal-sized documents, the Brother LT330CL paper tray extends all the way to the back.

Although $150 may seem like a lot of money to spend on an extra paper tray, it is well worth it, especially if you print on various paper sizes. Placing the copier on top of the new tray is all that is required for installation. If you're using a different size paper in the tray, make sure the "auto continue" feature is turned off. Otherwise, when one tray runs out of paper, the other tray will continue to use the incorrect size.
This is a fantastic addition to my well-loved home office printer. I can set multiple jobs to print and walk away knowing the printer has multiple trays to use, which saves me a lot of time and frustration when switching between legal and letter size. br>br>Because my printer is so heavy and difficult to lift up, it was physically impossible to install without at least two other people. One person is responsible for guiding the small pegs into their holes, while the other two are in charge of lifting the printer. It's not a good idea to do this with your printer on the side. Such a test of trust. br>br>However, once installed, it quickly became my favorite office companion. I'm planning another one in the near future.
There were no tools, wires, or connections to speak of. The only issue I have with it is that I can't choose the lower tray from Word or any other program. For instance, if you have an 8-person team, Both have 1/2 X 11 paper, but one of them is photo paper, so it would be nice to be able to choose which one to use.
As stated in the title, this is an excellent addition to a brother setup. For work, I have to deal with a variety of paper sizes, including legal watermark, legal plain, letter, and FedEx shipping labels. The presence of this tray improves workflow efficiency. While you may be able to find less expensive trays on Amazon, be aware that they do not all hold legal-sized paper like this model.
I recently purchased a Brother MFC-XXXXXXXXXXXXXX For my home office, I purchased the L8900 CDW, which came with only one tray. Because I needed a second tray for duplex printing, I purchased this one after determining which tray would work best, and it was simple to install after reading the instructions that came with it as well as the printer's instructions. It works well, fits snugly beneath the printer, and is the same length as the printer.
I was able to get the information I needed for Windows 10 Pro from Microsoft customer service. It's now at 64, and it's humming along nicely. I need to use different colors of paper on my mailings, so this is a great addition.
The extra bin for my legal-size paper is convenient. I don't have to worry about switching paper to get the right size all of the time; I should have gotten the 500 sheet one instead, but I'll make do.
