Questions & Answers
Hello there, and thank you for your inquiry! White boarders can be added to any photo using the Kodak Mini 2 application.
On the Apple App Store, the Mini Shot app (which connects to this printer) states that iOS 8. 0 or higher is required, and the most recent version of iOS is 11, so you should be fine.
I recently purchased this printer and tried everything I could to get the back to peel off, to the point where I ruined my photograph. Is it possible that the cartridge I received was the wrong one? This was purchased because it was a peel and stick product. Very let down.
If you get the right stickers, it'll be a lot of fun.

This printer has been in my possession for a year. In terms of printing quality and performance, I'd say it was satisfactory. It's neither too good nor too bad, just right for a party. br>br>However, I DO NOT recommend it because the paper frequently jams. It occurred so frequently that the unit eventually failed. I'm no longer able to use it, and I'm now stuck with expensive proprietary cartridges that I can't use with other printers. br>br>So there you have it, a fun product that breaks easily, doesn't last a year, and I had a lot of paper jam issues that resulted in a complete failure. br>br>It's a very sad situation.
As stated in previous reviews, there are no refill cartridges available online as of January 24, 2018 (not even on Kodak's website). I had BH Photo place an order for them. I'm hoping they'll restock and arrive in the next month or so, as they're both back ordered at Adorama. To some extent, this is unsurprising, given that the Mini 2 appears to have only recently launched. However, it's extremely inconvenient that Amazon suggests a bundle that includes cartridges that DO NOT FIT! (Seriously, Amazon, what the hell is going on there? )br>br>However, the device itself continues to perform admirably. It's a little tricky at first to get it to sync with your phone, but I was able to do so without difficulty. I noticed that photos taken in low lighting print a little darker than they appear on your mobile device, but photos taken outdoors or in good lighting print fairly accurately. I'm not concerned about slightly darker prints because the app allows you to adjust exposure. br>br>I considered a couple of other ZINK-based options, but in the end, I went with the Kodak Mini 2 because of its dependable printing technology. The photos are extremely clear and color-accurate (with the exception of the occasional exposure issue). I would have bought the older version of this (Kodak Mini) if I had known the Mini 2 cartridges were unavailable. When it came down to it, I chose the Mini 2 because of its smaller size and design. So, if you don't want to wait for cartridges to restock, the Kodak Mini is a great option!.
However, despite waiting a month, no cartridges have arrived from any of the stores I've checked. br>br>I contacted Kodak about the problem, and while they were quick to point out all of the listings, they are all backordered, in preorder, or unavailable. They didn't respond to me when I asked about that part when I asked them about it. br>br>Buy another pocket printer unless you want 10 fantastic wallet-sized prints for $10 each.
If you can find it, it's either backlogged with orders or very expensive. As a result, I am a huge fan of the printer. Unfortunately, you won't be able to get refills for the paper all-in-one printer cartridge. This one, as well as the one I received as a gift for my sister, will have to be returned.
I'd give it a five-star rating for that. The photographs are absolutely stunning. The rest of the layout is a stumbling block. br>br>Noise- BUT THIS IS THE LOUDEST PRINTER I HAVE EVER HAD. I'm on my sixth mini printer, and I can't stand the noise; I've tried covering it with things or hiding it in a drawer. The thing is loud enough to be heard across a room. It's obnoxious if you're close to it. br>br>Multiple Printing - br>br> The app allows you to print up to five pictures at once, but you must remove the picture from the slot after each print. It irritates me a lot. You can't just print a bunch of photos and then come back to them later. You must return and remove all of them. single. one. br>br>Collages- br>br>Collages- br>br>Collages- Nope. Unlike other apps, this one doesn't let you print more than one photo per sheet. So, if you want to print one sheet with two pictures (like a half-and-half), you'll have to edit them in a separate app and then resize them. Filters br>br>Filters br>br>Filters br>br>Filters There are some in the app, but they are very basic. You can't make any more changes. br>br>Connectivity is a term used to describe the ability of a device to communicate with another device. Extra steps that aren't required. When you turn on most printers, they will automatically connect to your phone. You must manually connect the Bluetooth on this printer every time you want to use it, and then open the app. You must restart the process if you open the app before connecting the Bluetooth. br>br>***This is going to be donated if I can find a printer that can produce this photo quality without the drawbacks. Kodak has the financial resources to improve its performance.
This product is fantastic; the pictures are of excellent quality. br>It is also very simple to use; there are numerous how-tos and reviews available. br>br>The only disadvantage in comparison to other printers is that the cartridge that contains the paper is a little pricey.
br>The issue is that this happened to me after about 60 prints (scattered over several weeks). The photo was never finished, and every time I looked at it, it appeared to be incorrect. It eventually came out and pulled the ink layers for my other prints after I turned it off and on several times. br>It happened again, and the best advice I got was to leave a voicemail because the company was closed at 10 a. m. 30 A. On a Friday, it's Alaska Time. br>I've gone through two photo cartridges and now have a broken printer. I'll make a change if I can get it resolved. But I can't recommend or even admire a product that has failed so spectacularly and for no apparent reason. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> The seller is refusing to replace the printer, which is now the THIRD to fail. This is a company you should avoid buying from.
The photography is of average quality. Worst of all, this model does not have replacement cartridges. It is not recommended that this product be sold until cartridges are available.
