I highly recommend this for check-out Your name will appear on your name tag and stations! I've found it to be very useful for payments at our church
5/5

iPads are used at the stations. Their easy setup and great performance make them a great choice. Dymo prints are less bold than those on Canon. **Use the sample labels only on items to which you plan to remove the labels, otherwise the label will be damaged. You should use the following labels when making name tags In a nutshell,.

There is a good printer, but there is a bad software program
4/5

I have tested the printers in both Windows XP and Windows 7. However, there are some things you should keep in mind. You can print to the printer with the wrong label setup (printer has setting 1 on it) if you have Suppose you have one-inch labels installed and you print a three-inch label. On the 5" label), the printer goes off-line (red light on back panel). Make sure that your printer setups are correct. All you have to do is tap the power button to reset it. You must always keep in mind that the printer knows precisely what size label you have 3) printing barcodes at 300 dpi (fast mode) might create barcodes that "less expensive" readers are unable to You may not have a non-disabled person in your house Print at 600 dpi with a name brand barcode reader. Metrologic MS1690's read everything and we use them. A "noisy" barcode can cause some of the less expensive "off shore" versions to fail. 3) Make sure you have the most recent firmware installed in your With some of the older firmware, gigabit networks would not work. By using the BRAdmin program, you can easily update the database. 4) Download Brother BRAdmin Professional (free download from brother's website). There is no need to download the "Lite" version that comes with the printer since it is easier to use and it supports ALL networkable brother printers and some HP printers. In order to set up BRAdmin, only one machine needs to be installed. In order for the rest of the machines to function correctly, only the printer driver is required. 5) Don't install the Brother 'add-on' software, it's a mess. The CD can be thrown away. You can get the printer driver from the web page and it works just fine. It took me a certain amount of learning to get these to work the way we wanted, but now they just do whatever we tell them. The easy loading of labels, the low prices of the printers, and the ability to choose from hardwired ethernet, wireless, serial, and USB connectivity, makes this a fantastic printer. Only one complaint I have is that the printers do not come with receipt paper options. I cannot issue a complaint other than that.

Having spent much of the day trying to get this, I'm still struggling to figure it out
3/5

I give up after spending the better part of this day trying to get this thing to work, and I'll send it A brief history of the situation There is a Brother QL-140 on my desk It would be nice if I could set it up in my warehouse wirelessly so I can use it It's been using DK for a long time This printer is supposed to be compatible with 2205 labels. I have no problems with them in However, after I set everything up and changed Windows settings to match the label roll I was using, I kept receiving an error message entitled "Wrong Roll Size". The Brother tech support department gave me instructions on setting up a layout in their P Touch program, which I was able to get to work, but it still There is no other way to use the printer in any of the windows programs. After you receive the wrong roll size error, Windows assumes that the printer is out of paper, and you have to remove and reinstall it every time. I find this to be beyond frustrating, and Brother's tech support was no help. They told me they couldn't provide support for any I call a halt to that. There are settings in Windows determining how the printer is supposed to work. Are you interested in buying a printer if you are only going to use the manufacturer's Unfortunately, I'm not able to make it do what it's supposed to do. I really want to use this printer, but it does not.

The piece of crap is inflexible
3/5

It determines what type of label to print based on what type of paper A printer lockup occurs if you try to print on a different size of paper. In other words, if 1. is known, then the printer should be able to print 2. Three times one. Labels are loaded with a size of 5", and you are trying to print them in Three times one. When you press "0", you receive an error message and must return to the printer physically to reactivate For those of you who thought you bought The premise you use for cutting labels is simply incorrect! You want them cut according to the paper size YOU determined! No matter what you do, the size of your graphic will be that of the printer. I regret to inform you that my printer decided to start printing from 1 to 1 at one point. Three times one. In this case, 5 was loaded while 2 was not. There was actually 4" of ammunition Any document could not be printed for some reason. Due to the fact that when I selected 2, it was an obvious choice. This was 4 inch wide, but it was actually 1 inch. A load of "1" was completed. You can print something 1 as well. The 1" wide test failed because the 2" wide test failed. The actual length of the column was 4". In the years following initial set up, I have never been able to print anything on version There are four labels per page. And half of the software doesn't work when the printer is connected to a network like a USB stick rather than a network. Don't forget that it is advertised as a network printer?.

Setting it up and using it is a breeze
5/5

My brother QL-600 has a color LCD screen After trying the new QL-720NW, we decided to stick with it The AF-820NWB. This is a decision I am very happy I made. It's a great upgrade to have this new label printer. You can easily set it up and use it. Easy connection to various devices is made possible with the screen's LCD and menu system. I had no issues setting up Bluetooth on either my Android phone or my Apple iPad. Having read some of the comments earlier, I was prepared for some difficulties. Nothing could be found, not even a single thing. My labeling software also came with a battery, which helped me label boxes down in the basement with ease.
